Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am 70 years old. At the age of 52 I became interested in family history because of my husband's daughter. She wanted some information about her family. Others had promised information but did not come thru with it so I told her I would help her. It was so much fun I have continued with my research. I am always happy to help in the search and photo taking of a monument. I have been helped many times in the past and hope to help others in the future. One outstanding person in Camden, Missouri, Janice Pennington, who is now my dear friend, is the main reason I became interested in Find A Grave. Through Genforum I requested one picture of a monument in a cemetery fairly close to her area. She saw my request, contacted me and told me she would get the picture for me. Not only did she get that picture but she sent me over 50 other pictures of my ancestors graves in the same cemetery. Because of her and also her husband Larry, I wanted to help others find graves of their families and take photo's of the headstones. That is when I found Find A Grave. Talk about getting your prayers answered, I did. Another lady, Roberta, who lives in Indiana, went to Kentucky and took over 70 pictures for me at 4 different cemeteries of my ancestors graves. The gratitude I have for these people makes me want to grab every photo request I can to help others.
If I can make a correction or add information to a memorial page, please let me know. If you would like to have one of my memorial pages transferred to you, (if they are not a member of my family), please let me know and I will do it. Please go thru the proper channels for any changes or transfers of a memorial page.

RE: Kirkpatricks
Sorry for the confusion. Sunny Slope and Richmond are side by side with the same entrance. I get them confused.

Thanks again for all the time and trouble you have put into this

Actually, she is buried in Indiana. I don't know if she also has a marker in the Richmond Cemetery or why this memorial was made. I don't want to delete it until I find out.

RE: Kirkpatricks
Please get well before your trip! It sounds like too uncomfortable if you don't. I hope the doctor helps you. I agree about waiting rooms -- I always come out with new ailments from sitting around there.

I used to have FTM (years ago) but didn't have my stuff adequately backed up and lost my tree so now I just keep everything on Ancestry.com. It's always there wherever there is Internet.

Thanks for the transfers! I really appreciate it! Do you want me to take Earl Kirkpatrick, also? The only other one would be that memorial in Sunny Slope that Charles W Brown made for Harriet Clark Kirkpatrick (my Ggma) who is really buried in Indiana.

Get well soon!
Brenda

Sorry to be so dense, but I don't know what you mean by "menu".

Kirkpatricks
Joyce, I've done a little sleuthing and it appears to me that there were two main strains of Kirkpatricks in Richmond (Ray County) Missouri. I am related to both, but distantly very related to the ones you are probably most closely related to. Della Boyd and Charles Letcher Kirkpatrick are the closest relatives I have of the memorials you maintain, excepting Alexander L, Earl, and Hattie F Clark Kirkpatrick. The three exceptions are from my Kirkpatrick (paternal Ggrandmother's) side of the tree while the Letcher Kirkpatricks are from my Ottman (paternal Ggrandfather's) side of the tree. Charles Letcher and Della Boyd Kirkpatrick are the aunt and uncle of the husband of my 2nd cousin 1x removed -- pretty distant!

If you do not have a direct relationship to the three exceptions listed above, I will be glad to take over the maintenance of their memorials. Do you know of any connection you have to the exceptions that I am missing?

Thanks,
Brenda
