Hi Diana,
Did you ever find what your great great grandfather had written down about Molton Compton. His 87 year old nephew said he hear Molton was accidently injured , so the story goes, while attending a dance party...And complications set in and he died later.

Looking for to hearing from you.

My best,
Alice Thanks for sharing the photo of him with all of us.

RE: Gonzales grave at St. Patrick's Cemetery
That's very interesting about the great-grandmother of one of your friends! Because that lady was the first wife of my wife's great-grandfather and she and her mother didn't even know he was married a first time. His side lived near LaVernia.

RE:Your email

I did receive your email regarding those 3 graves. I called and spoke with a Diana at the funeral home but she said she would get back to me once she gets the plots of those 3 graves. I didn't know of their feelings about this website, though negatively but if they do reply to me I will contact you again. Another guy emailed me as well asking me to call them and I told him what I told you. So we're all at a stalemate for now.

Henry Clay Compton
Thank you for comfriming the spot where Henry Clay Compton was buried in Sabinal Cemetery...I am sorry that he has no stone...He was my great uncle, but as I said he was single, and his brother may not have had the funds at the time of his death..I have his nephew, George Howard Compton #25600427 and wife Lila Simmons Compton and their daughter, Helen Louise Compton Howard #24994626 as all being buried in the Sabinal Cemetery ...They all have headstone photos. I am not sending Lila's # as I have 2 different numbers for her and need to look her up. However, she is linked to her husband and child. George Howard Compton was my 3rd cousin. I don't know why they did not show up on the Sabinal Cemetery records...
Sorry I made and error saying your g grandmother may have had something written down for Edwin Molton Compton, it was your gg grandfather instead. I am hoping you can find it. I received at letter from George Howard Compton years ago, saying his brother died in 1911...but no details at all.
Thanks you for all your work and kindness.

Edwin Molton Compton
P. S. His brother and uncle were buried in the Sabinal, Uvalde Cemetery. Brother George Howard Compton 25600427 and wife & daughter Helen, and an uncle Henry Clay Compton buried in an unmarked grave...# 92653116. I just read where you have done work in the Sabinal Cemetery. Henry Clay died Feb. 14, 1914 and there was no headstone found for him that I could find...He had no children and maybe his brother Geo. William could not afford a headstone at the time.

Thanks so much for your reply. I ran across the Burns name somewhere in my genealogy searches in AL....Wilcox County as I recall...Glad Molton's photo was saved with your family pics...Molton's mother, Carrie died in 1900 when he was about 6 and his little bro. 2... his father, Geo. W. Compton never remarried....From Molton's death certificate which you posted(Thanks for this), it looked as if he became ill in Hill County Texas and came back & died in Cancan, Uvalde County ...Wish it had listed the cause of death...He was just a young man. I hope you do not mind if I use his photo on my family tree, and I will certainly name you & give you the credit for his photo. I did see the name Burns in the Rio Frio Cememtery's listing...Many as I remember. Do hope you can find what your gr grandmother may have written about Molton. It is amazing to me how things can come together. Thanks to you, a forgotten young man and a beloved son has a photo on Find A Grave. The inscription on his headstone reads, "Dear Molton we still love you"
Very special!
