I am retired and enjoy working on genealogy as a hobby. I have a masters degree from the University of Oklahoma and I'm using my research skills to hunt down my ancestors.|
www.findagrave.com is a terrific web site.
My ancestors include but are not limited to:
Allison, Campbell, Morris, Johnson, Holdsworth, Baird, Kirkpatrick, Phillippi, Worley, Sweeney, Vaught, Watson, Dale, Wheeler, Hoyt, Newman
I make an effort to connect husbands, wives and families using obituaries and census records.
As many of you know, I have spent hours taking photos in the Rose Hill Burial Park in Oklahoma City in order to create memorials. I also do research in the Oklahoma Historical Society Library for some of my memorials.
Member: Oklahoma Historical Society, National Trust for Historic Preservation, Civil War Trust, Friends of Mt Vernon, Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, National Women's History Museum, Pulaski Co KY Historical Society, Cornerstone Genealogical Society (PA), Morrow Co OH Genealogical Society, Osborne Co KS Historical Society.
Use the "Suggest a Correction" feature on the appropriate memorial to submit information or any requests. I follow the Find-A-Grave guidelines regarding the transfer of memorials. Any transfer requests should only be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

|James Brent||Barbara V. Lovelock Brown|
I am writing to tell you Barbara Victoria Lovelock Brown, a resident of Lafollette in Campbell County, TN, died on May 3, 2015. A memorial service was held at St. Francis Episcopal Church, Norris, TN, on Saturday, May 23, 2015. She had been a member of the church for several years.
The link for her father's memorial is # 75879411. Her mother's memorial is # 75879699.
She was married in 1960 to Capt. J.H. "Brownie" Brown of American Airlines, who she met while working as a stewardess there (since 1952). He predeceased in 1984 and there were no children.
She had lived in Campbell County, TN, since her retirement.
I am a 'find a grave' contributor and was acquainted with Mrs. Brown through the church, where I serve as an organist. In fact I played at her memorial service. It's my understanding that after cremation her remains would be interred where her parents are in Oklahoma. I am hopeful this information is helpful.

That's OK. No changes are necessary, as I am just copying others from the internet. You and I share mutual ancestors.

Thanks for the information.
Would you please remove the census information from the flower section. I have place it in the bio section. I saw in the FAQ section that we are not to use the flower section for any kind of bio information.
"Biographical information and obituaries are not to be included in a virtual flower."
Thanks for all you do.

Thanks so much for your effort. Hopefully, you will have better luck than I did. It still amazes me that you are actually in Oklahoma City and I had just called them one day this week.
I have relatives in Little Sandusky Cemetery near Upper Sandusky, Ohio (about a half hour from where we live) so we were there and wanted to try to fulfill some of the requests that we could find. Tuesday we are traveling to Columbus and are planning to visit 2 cemeteries that day.
Have a good holiday weekend.

Thanks for all the Shinn updates, including the latest for Lorena.

Thanks so much for your trouble. I'll be anxious to hear what you find out.

As I was sending my other message, I noticed in your bio that you have done a lot of research for a particular cemetery in Oklahoma City. I was just wondering if there is any way that you can find any information about my uncle Harry Mason Thompson Jr. memorial #64462830 who passed away 1-6-2011. His obituary was in The Oklahoman and is in findagrave stating that military services were held at Resthaven Memory Gardens. I called there this week and they have no record of his burial. They also gave me a couple other cemetery names and numbers that I called and was told that he isn't buried there either. Would you have access to any Cleveland County death records? I have connected Harry to his parents and brothers and sisters (Viola was my mother) in findagrave but nothing about his burial since I assumed he was in Resthaven. I would really appreciate any information that you might find or any leads you might be able to give me as most of our family is in Ohio. Thanks so much.

You are very welcome. Glad to get it for you.

Thank you so much for the work you do. Good photos and information.
I just noticed that the record for Jack Dean in OKC may have been confused with his dad, also a Jack Dean. The dates at the top of the info section are applicable for his father, but the marker photo is of the son, my uncle, Jack.
I never met my grandfather, Jack's dad. If he is also one of your remembrance pages, I would LOVE to see it!!
Thank you again,
