Bio and Links
Bio Photo In the 1980's I started researching my Linn ancestors (without benefit of computer) but got busy with my sons' activities and put it on hold. In 1999 a cousin got me involved with my Steinberg ancestors and I have been going full speed ahead ever since.

Upon graduating from the University of Illinois my father obtained employment in the State of Washington, far from any relatives. My ancestors (after entering the USA)settled in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Montana, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio and New Jersey - I want to experience first hand where and how they lived so I travel the country obtaining data, meeting people, seeing the sights and tramping cemeteries. I missed the "cousin experience" growing up and think that is why I enjoy genealogy so much -- meeting new cousins (who cares if they are 1st or 10th cousins)and sharing our family histories.

I am researching Linn, Gibson, Weir, Scott, Polk, Steinberg, Koerner, Mitten, Bennett, Switzer (Swisher), Slonaker, Shaw, Goff, Townsend, McCarty and Whitehead, Miller, Schroen, Glabe, Schafer/Schaefer/Shafer. I am also reseaching Dishon, Deshon, DeShon, Deschamps and Herrold for my two sons.

Ok....thanks for getting back to me. I do not have any of those names in my Roderick research. But good luck with your endeavor.

David Roderick 45767040
Ok....his children not linked are

John Roderick born 28 Aug 1795 Frederick, MD and died 7 Mar 1875 in Fayette, PA

Daniel Roderick born 30 Apr 1797 Hardy Co, VA and died 30 Aug 1868 in Mongongalia Co, WV

Samuel Roderick born 13 Apr 1809 VA and
died 2 Feb 1899 in WV--he is on findagrave
#9519192

And other family trees on Ancestry.com say there was another son, David, but I was unable to find any information on him.

Are you related to the Roderick's?

Hi,
No, I am sorry that I do not have information where the other children are buried. But thanks for asking.

Photos requests for Maybelle & James Eastman
HI, I tried to fulfill your photo requests for them in Clarendon Hills Cemetery. There is not a marker(s) on their plot. Some folks like to get a photo of the "grass area." If you would like me to get that type of photo, please let me know.

Jan, it was very nice of you to add the gravestone photo for Evelyn's memorial.

I would like to ask for your permission to use your photo in my family tree on ancestry.com. Because the photographer has a copyright for each photo, I always ask before placing a photo on another web site. I will, of course, give your name as the photographer and the Findagrave web site as the source.

Many thanks for considering my request,
Jacki

Sorry, no I do not. You might try your local library...sometimes that is what I end up doing.

RE: Alda Grant Mitten
No, I'm not related at all... the obit was just a random one that showed up on the same page as another I printed. I always forward them when I can. Take care, Vonda

RE: Isaac C. Swisher 50591185
I am related to the Swisher family. I am the gg granddaughter of Henry Swisher who was born in North Carolina. He was the son of George Swisher & Elizabeth Goodner. Isaac would have been a great uncle. I would be happy for any information. If I can help you at all I will be happy to do so.

Sincerely,

Toni Nash

Jeremiah "F" Bryant
ahhh..... now I get it. It clicks. Regarding Jeremiah Bryant. The "F" stands for father, and the "M" stands for mother. The tombstones are engraved with Father and Mother above the names, that is why the listing appeared that way. Makes perfect sense! lol
