I sent you a "info" message, but I am wondering now if he may really have been born in Saginaw and his parents took him back to her home area to have him baptised in the family's church Holy Name of Mary in St. Mary's, Ontario. I'm seeing birth records that say East Saginaw. Alice grew up in St. Mary's and her parents are buried there. I've had the baptism record for quite some time, but it never occurred to me he had been born in the US. The death record states he died on his birthday of croup. Seems like a coincidence that out of 365 days in a year, he happened to die that day. Wondering if the person recording his death made an error. Anyway, thanks for creating his memorial!

I would like to know if I could have permission to use the headstone photos for Tena (Smigelski) Narring and her family. (Memorial 65726716) She was the sister of my great grandmother who died along with her daughters of the Spanish flu in 1919, so sad.

Thnnk you so much Sheila. The flat Graves by the
obelisk have one for Anna Reynolds Fitzgerld and has written on it "wife of Edmond Fitzgerald." I think you found that one. The one right next to it is her husband Edmond Fitzgerld, my great-great grandfather. We raised the stones up when we first found them but I removed the moss on top in October. As far as Thomas Shannahan, I know he is a relative because the Fitzgeralds lived with the Shannahans in Ireland. I've been trying to find any records of him here, but have not. He may have died on the ship coming over. Also on the Fitzgerald stone you will see Nora, mother. She is the mother of Edmond. Edmond immigrated by himself and his mother came over later. She has a death record in St. Marys Church, Saginaw of 1869, as you can see on the stone. I would like to add her to my record. If you could set up a memorial for her. Thank you again for looking and setting these up because I have trouble with my legs, and tried to look up other people, William, etc. but it was too hard.
By the way, I found out some interesting things such as St. Andrews Cemetery was formerly under the Saginaw General Hospital, but when they built the hospital they moved the bodies, enmasse to the New Saint Andrews Cemetery near Gratiot. Mary Reynolds Fitzgerald mother was one of the people involved. I know this, but the list of people buried was "lost" so they say.

Thank you so much for the pictures of William Fitzgerald and Johnn Fitzgerald . Could you please do Ann Reynolds fitzgerald and Edmond Fitzgerald in the ground to the right of the Fitzgerald memorial. I uncovered those markers in October. Thank you so much! Mary Dworin. I live near Flint

Thanks - i realize you did not link them - but wanted the info out there. am dealing with the same situation on one of my memorials - a person linked people to my people - unfortunately the son is older than the father. seems to me links should only be allowed with permission of the person who set up the memorial - less mistakes that way?

I do not believe this to be the spouse of Julia Reau. I believe this Francis to be Francis Grenier (Greenia) daughter of Peter Greenia. She is buried in the plot owned by Peter Greenia, if i read the cemetery map correctly. On one side of her stone is Alfred Greenia and Agnes and Ada Greenia's stones are on the other side. Francis Grenier married Robert Petee at St Elizabeth's church in 1891. She died in childbirth in the fall/winter of 1896. The death certificate is under the name of Peda. I cannot explain the differences in death date. A call to the church office had no additional information. Francis Xavier Petee, husband of Julia Reau would probably have been buried somewhere in the Monroe area - 135 miles give or take from Blumfield.
