|Bio and Links|
San Diego has some of the best Find a Grave contributors who are doing an amazing job of documenting our local cemeteries. If you need a grave photo there is no shortage photo volunteers. If you are looking for an obituary, cemetery information or advice we have volunteers happy to help you. |
If you are new to Find a Grave and want to start contributing in the San Diego area please read the FAQs or reach out to someone with your questions.
Please always do a search before creating a new memorial
Links, Corrections and additional information
Please use the edit tab and I will be happy to make corrections, add links and additional information. Do not leave information you want added on this page.
Note: Abstracted lists (such as census, death index, etc.) should be formulated into complete sentences prior to submitting for addition to the bio.
Copy-and-paste census, military and other data is not a "bio". Please don't send these type of bios because they will not be added.
This is Find-a-Grave, we find graves, so please, if the memorial doesn't have a grave photo, request one prior to asking for a transfer.
I'm pretty liberal when it comes to transfers, however too many times I have transferred and nothing is added or changed. So if you want a transfer, please:
1. Post any family photos (if you have them)
2. Provide me with family links and biographical information you wish to add to the memorial.
3. Tell me your exact relationship
I will not make a transfer if you create excessive memorials with unknown burial locations.
Please be a Find a Grave contributor, not just a collector of someone else's work
✔ PLEASE NOTE!!! Do not move your Burial Unknown into the correct cemetery based on the information you found from my memorial & then demand that I delete my duplicate.

Okay I resent the edit request. Copied and pasted the original so I did not have to retype.
Thanks for checking.

Hello, Received the message saying you had added the obit. But in looking at his memorial it is not there.
Would you check again. I had typed the obit just as it appeared in the newspaper.

I sent an edit with obituary information on this person. Would you consider adding it to his memorial. This is from the newspapers.

Hello, l wanted to thank you for your memorial for my Uncle Tom, he is the missing person in my tree. All the rest of the family rest in Pittsburgh and Ohio , all the way back to 1785 . Never thought I'd find him here. Thanks so much. I live in San Diego- is there any way to volunteer with Find a Grave here? Michelle
Thank you for your Find-a-Grave contributions. Some of the Dixon family are in San Diego's Greenwood Memorial Park and could use further ID.
David (1838-1910) and Emma C. Dixon (1848-1923) are the parents of
(1)Fannie C Dixon 1870-1959 who is married to Eugene Lennon (1850-1930). Both are mentioned on the Lennon stone but need her dates.
(2) Edward Dixon 1868-1912 (not buried at Greenwood)
(3) Josephine Emma Dixon 1876-1920.

Wow! I am speechless at how fast you got the obit and added it! Thank you for what you are doing. I am fascinated that this gentleman ended up so far away in California! He came from a blacksmithing family in a tiny town in Eastern Canada yet he went all the way accross the continent and I to the US. He must have been very adventurous. Thank you for helping him be remembered. Without you having made this memorial in the first place we never would have known where he went! Keep doing what you are doing!

Hi, his mother died before 1900, but do not know where she is buried, as the family moved from Wood county to Hancock county at about the same time. She may be with her husband and second wife in McComb Union, but if so, she has no marker..
|Peggy Dochterman||Merville Rugg|
By chance are you related to Merville Rugg?
|Debra Friesen||RE: Lola Cunningham|
I was logged in to findagrave on my cousin's computer. We had discussed that there was a discrepancy between her birth and death years stated on Lola's memorial and her age at death. According to the dates listed on the death index, she would have been 39 years old. The memorial states she was 45 years old. I didn't realize my cousin had requested a change. Lola was my father's first wife. I cannot confirm her age at death, so I did not make that request. Please disregard with my apologies.
Your welcome. I am still in the process of entering picture of the complete family plot. Check back in about 10 minutes
