A few years ago I began to research my family's genealogy, and I quickly realized how valuable cemetery documentation can be. I greatly benefited from the work of others, so now I wish to "pay it forward" by documenting the cemeteries in the places I live and visit. I grew up in Neosho County, KS and Atchison County, MO, and now live in the Twin Cities, MN, so those tend to be the places I've worked on. I'm very willing to transfer any memorials to those persons who hold strong connections to the persons memorialized. My only desire is that my work may be found to be helpful and meaningful to others.

Memorial # 137908779
Charles W Clark....Please tell us more regarding this memorial. My mother was married to 2nd LT Charles W Clark born 1920. His plane went down off the coast of Italy and he was declared dead. Military lists death date Mar 31 1945.( see # 56307478 ) While born in Neb. he and his brother Robert "Bob" were orphaned at a young age. Mother met and wed Chuck in Kansas never knew his parents names. Do you know more about the man who's memorial you created?

RE: Mary Whitworth
I too am related to the Whitworth family from Neosho County. I have a copy of the marriage certificate and vital records but I also have the family photo album from my grandmother and the name on the photos are Bowman. Also the Big Creek Township Atlas 1906 photo shows the spelling as Bowman so I'm pretty sure it is correct.

HI,
The memorial for Rachel Marlatt (93939515) has her name as Rachel (Sheffler) Marlatt although the stone just has Rachel Marlatt.

I had thought from my research that Rachel's maiden name was Howland. She was married to Julian Overbay previous to her marriage to David Marlatt. Do you have access to extra information causing you to list her name as Sheffler?

Thank you for your contributions to Findagrave.

Sincerely, Jessie

Westlawn-Hillcrest Vets
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.

If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.

Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.
