**My email address has changed!**|
I have been in the curious position of being an American in Australia since 1989. I have a great love for both countries. My accent is a weird mixture of both. I remain a Yank in Oz and an Aussie in the US. At least it's a great conversation starter!
I am married to an interesting and hard-working man, and we have two gorgeous young adult children.
My vocation is education, teaching English to adult migrants and refugees. I get tremendous satisfaction from my work.
My passion is genealogy. I have been researching since 1983, a time when I had to duck secretively into the National Archives in case any of my friends saw me. The stories that I have uncovered, although not all happy ones, have inspired me and made me proud to be connected to the people who have come before me.
I am thrilled to have discovered Find a Grave, as it allows me to memorialise my loved ones and document the lives of other family members for posterity.
I am a strong believer that ordinary people live extraordinary lives. They are far more interesting to me than celebrities.
I have been very moved by the many stories that I have read on here. I enjoy reading a well-written and loving biography, and I admire people for being such a positive influence on those left behind.
Please take the time to check out a few of my loved ones, and flower them if their tales strike a chord. I will try to reciprocate.
I would love to make contact with any relatives of the individuals I have posted here, and I would be more than happy to transfer memorial administration to family members or friends. Please email me to facilitate this.

Good Morning Mary Jo!
I only just saw your edit request for Zerviah Webster this morning! I'm not sure why Find-A-Grave no longer sends a post when we have requests.
I took a quick look at the memorial you made for Zerviah and it has the same info that I have in my tree, so I would be delighted to accept connecting her as the mother of my Joseph Sutliff.
Thank you for making the memorial and requesting the attachment! Are you a relative? Zerviah Webster and her husband Joseph Sutliff are my 5th Great-grandparents. Their son Joseph and his family (my 4th Greats) were the first Sutliffs to settle in Damascus, Wayne County, Pennsylvania.
Thanks, again...enjoy your day!
It's probably already evening in Australia! =)

I'll scan it tomorrow for you. It was tough to get - When I was going through the microfilm today, I couldn't read the name at all, but could see that this person was buried in St. John's Cemetery. I had heard last week that the Manscripts room could pull the original if the certificate was older than 1915 and make a copy off of the original if the microfilm was hard to read. While the microfilm was scratched and impossible, the copy from the original is utterly beautiful and perfectly easy to read. It's the first time that I have asked for a copy from the manuscript room at the NJ Archives! You'll like it. Rhonda

Good morning Mary Jo,
I see from the headstone photo how some of the family is connected, but I'm not sure about Dorothy. Would you please share your source of their marriage?
I appreciate your help keeping Find A Grave an accurate and valuable genealogical tool!

Thank you! I didn't think you had done it because it was such an obvious error. I just figured that somehow findagrave's computer did it, or else it was just a same name kind of error. Anyway, thanks for correcting it! Have a wonderful week!

Hello! I'm not quite sure how Elizabeth Moulton got Alice Bradford Fitch added as her mother, but it is incorrect and quite impossible, as Alice was born AFTER Elizabeth! Please see if you can fix it. Memorial number 48989333

Thanks for your kind note. I so appreciate knowing that you'll get the information entered. I don't care when - just that they get added at some point in time. I've been focusing on filling in the details for St. John the Evangelist Cemetery but can't resist capturing information for other locals, who invariably turn out to be related to someone in SJE Cemetery. Thanks for sharing with me that you knew some of these people. I hope that my efforts are adding care and dignity to their graveyard memorials.
I'm about to get busy doing something else, so my Find A Grave contributions may be dwindling soon. I feel like I've accomplishing something, though.
