Bio and Links
Bio Photo We've had a rough few months. Please visit the memorial of my niece Christin Cooper, 1982-2016. She left us much too soon. My mother Betty Cooper, 1932-2015. And now my father in law Charles Hall, 1930-2016.

If you're planning to go to Mount Hope and aren't sure where your family is buried, email me ahead of time and I can send you more information, along with maps of the cemetery. Mount Hope covers a large area and it can be difficult to find a specific burial without a map.

I've completed taking pictures of Mount Hope Cemetery in Webb City, Mo, with the exception of stones added since June 2010, and they are all online. If there wasn't a stone, I took a picture of the space. The pictures that say "space unknown" means I have the block and lot number, but not the space number so I just took a picture of the lot or of an unmarked space in the lot.

I realize that some of my pictures are not all that great, so if you'd like me to try to get a better photo, let me know. If I've made any mistakes or you'd like more information added, just let me know.

Many of the headstone pictures that I've placed on my family's memorials were actually taken by my parents. I have my Mom's permission to use hers and since my Dad's passing, his pictures are now mine. I've created virtual cemeteries for family.

It is not my intention to create duplicate memorials and I try not to but sometimes it happens. Please let me know if I have created a duplicate and I'll remove mine. And I'd appreciate it if you don't create duplicates of ones already on. I am more than happy to transfer management of the memorials I have created unless they are my family. Just click on edit on the memorial and ask for a transfer and include your relationship.

I don't mind sharing the photos I've taken for personal use but I would like to request that others do not take credit for any photos I've taken.

Crenshaw
Hi! I saw that you have family connections to the Crenshaw family. My GG grandfather was John Robert Crenshaw (1850-1933) Born in California and died in Jackson County, AR. I was wondering if you have ever run into that line of the Crenshaw family?

My email is annriley@yahoo.com

RE: 54853466
Thanks Kelly, but in regard to your request to hold all Mt. Hope suggestions because you said you were moving, I have held them until after July 5. The GOAL here, on Find A Grave is to enhance all memorials by including the Biographies and I have NOT sent you more than 20 additions in one week. If you wish to be contentious and not comply with the GOALS of Find A Grave then so-be-it. Otherwise my blessings are sent to you in hopes to encourage others to also participate in the GOOD of Find A Grave.

Why are you not posting the BIO I gave you for these people? It takes me about 2 hours to transcribe each one from the History of Jasper county and its people, by Joel Thomas Livingston. I would certeinly appreciate you adding the BIO to each memorial that I have posted and will post in the future. I live in Jasper county and know most of the people that are included in the Livingston history. My wife worked for the Coglizers al well as our son.
Sorry to har about the deaths of your relatives and I also hope your moving was successful.
Thanks for your consideration. I am totally interested in giving all the history and bio info on all the grave sites and hope you are too!

Re Alexander Mardick JR 59852491
I would love the transfer!
I hope you know how much your work means to thousands of people looking for their connections!
I do it too and know it is a labor of love.
I think it keeps us grounded to those we have lost and allows a a constant communion of sorts.

Continued Peace to you!
Kitty

Re Alexander Mardick JR 59852491
Kelly,
First my heart goes out to you. I am truly sorry for the losses you have dealt with recently.

I am (distantly) related to Alexander through the Dowell line (His mother was a Dowell).

While researching I ran across the post for him here in Find A Grave.

Somehow his brother and sisters are listed as his children. There is no explanation of why.

If you know why could you share (adopted or raised by him?)

If you look at his mother these same children are listed under her and husband Alexander E Marduck Sr. and include Alexander JR.

Best wishes and hoping your heart finds comfort,

Kitty Lambert-Rudd

Margaret Hodgen Vertrees
Margaret was my 3rd gt. grandmother. With your permission my I suggest you add a bit to her biog? Margaret was born in Frederick Co., VA and died in Hardin Co., KY. She married in 1804 Joseph Vertrees, son of John and Rebecca Vertrees. They had seven sons: Isaac, Lewis, Robert, Josiah, William A., Joseph II and John. She died in Hardin Co., KY in 1852.

My source for this information is from the book, "SIX GENERATIONS OF LA RUES AND ALLIED FAMILIES" by Otis M. Mather.

Thank you,
