Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have always been fascinated by genealogy. From a young child sitting under a tree listening to the stories my grandfather would tell me about our people to researching the records and then combing cemeteries for headstones.

There is a wealth of information that leads us to a more in-depth knowledge of our ancestors. I have come to know more about my people that have left their "foot prints" here than I ever knew of those that were living.

If I have a memorial and am not related to the person I, more often than not, will transfer it to you. Just ask if you are related to the person and would like the memorial please let me know.

I must go now and follow daddy rabbits foot prints, never know where he might lead me today! :)

God Bless all of you!

#92330136 Joseph W. Golden
Eura Golden's son Joe Weeks "J.W." is buried in Memory Hill Cemetery in Dothan, Houston Co., AL. J.W's wife is Evie "Lorane" Hadden Golden (3-3-1929/1-20-1981). Her parents are Herman Raymond Hadden and Clara Mae Thompson, probably buried in Rehobeth Cemetery, in Houston Co., AL.

You have this memorial all wrong. This J.W. Golden's mother is not Eura Box Golden. His siblings are not Earl nor Huey. Eura and Huey are buried in Big Creek UMC Cemetery in Houston Co., AL. Earl is buried in Memory Hill Cemetery in Dothan, Houston Co., AL. Eura is my husband's aunt and her sons are my husband's first cousins. I do family research but I try to get it correct. Please correct this, please!!!

RE: Ancestry.com
Thank you, I would appreciate very much, besides a photograph, I also have some questions for the grandson. Like I said, William Henry Brown is a common name. I want to know what proof he has tying his William Henry Brown to Absalom Rhodes Brown because according to most census information, the father of these children, and husband of Rachel was born in Alabama.

I don't have an ancestry subscription. Would you be willing to help me get in contact with this Grandson?

RE: William Henry Brown
Also, William and Rachel appear to have another child who passed away prior to 1900. Rachel has two grand daughters living in her household in 1900 whose last names are illegible but I don't think they are Brown.

I would love to have a picture of William Henry Brown for my book..if you ever happen across a descenant, please get me in touch. How did you know they went to Missouri if I may ask? William Henry Brown is a very common name.

RE: Lulu Brown Richmond
William Henry Brown and Rachel appeared to have moved to Alabama prior to their move to Missouri. I have not been able to find them in a census there but their older children, Lulu and James were both born in Alabama. Lulu's death certifcates looks like it says Windsor County Alabama..which doesn't exist...the closest county to that would be Winston County...but I have found nothing on them their yet.

I have found nothing on their daughters Melissa or Sallie, and I lose track of their son James after 1910. He is listed as Widowed in the 1900 Census and is living with his mother. He appears to have remarried and then his second wife also appears to have died prior to 1910 as he has a young son James living with him and Rachel in 1910.

RE: William Henry Brown
No, not that I know of. I am writing the Regimental History of the 4th Battalion Georgia Sharpshooters of which William Henry Brown was a member...he was the original 4th Corporal of Company G, 3rd Battalion Georgia Infantry which became Company A, 4th Battalion Georgia Sharpshooters. Chapter 2 of my book is on the formation of this company...because he was an officer, I am giving a short bio on him. This Rachel I found buried in Ripley County Missouri..she was a Jones per her death certificate and the Death Certificate both Timothy Henry Brown and the Lulu Clementine Brown Richmond states that their father was William Brown.

RE: William H Brown
I think this is one of their daughters as well:

I can't find death certificates for any of these people though.
