Please read the Find a Grave Rules

Just because you tell where you got the obituary and funeral picture does not keep you from being sued for breaking the copyright law. You have to have the permission of everyone listed in the obituary and the one that took the picture. Accounts are closed for doing this. Go back and read the rules, it is on the contributor page under the frequently asked questions.

I am a Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. We collect, glassware, vintage jewelry, Cowboy Collectables, and dust. We love Flea Markets, Country Auctions, and long highway yard sales.

I started Find a Grave as a Photo Volunteer and decided that was too hard. I started photographing the entire cemetery, this way I could add them to the Computer at the Research Center and put them on Find a Grave also.

I walk the Cemeteries and take the photographs of the memorials I put on Find a Grave. I do not set at the computer and put memorials on in another state that I have no intention of putting a photograph on with it. I do not do this for the numbers, I do it to help others.

I will have to add to the above and say this winter I have been going through our county Cemetery Books and Creating new Cemeteries and making memorials for the ones buried in Family Cemeteries. It has been interesting to find them on Census records and connect them. I will try and locate the cemeteries and make a picture if I can. Sometimes the older family Cemeteries do not exist anymore. I did not want to add memorials that I could not add a picture. I decided that these people did not deserve to be forgotten, thus said here's hoping I can find a picture to add to the memorials. Keeping our County as up to date as possible.

I will not link to a unknown burial or a unknown cemetery. Go to the Q and A and read for yourself.

I believe family should be with family. I make mistakes, I am human, just be nice when you let me know. It is not my intention to make duplicates, but names, initials, nicknames are not all known, and I gave up mind reading a few years ago. I try to correct, link or transfer as fast as I can. I do not believe it takes two months to type a few numbers.

I have spent months deleting obituaries and pictures from my memorials. If you find one please let me know about it so I can delete the obit or picture. FAG does not want Obits or pictures due to the Copyright law. I do not want my account closed from breaking their rules. You can read that for yourself in the Q and A on your contributors page.

I believe in God, Family and Country. If this offends you, I am sorry. This is a short bio of me.

God Bless you and

Sweet Memories
RE: Joseph Loy Coomes
Hi Anita

I suspect he is still living. I can't find his death. He was born in 1923, so he would be in his
early 90s'. Coomes men live to be very old as a rule.

RE: Bennett family
Anita: Thanks so much for the information I think it is the family I am looking for. I already have the obit for Charles Riley and he is the son of Mary F. Bennett and Davis C Riley. Also there is a Pearl B born 1888 and a Frances born 1890 that are living with the family of Luther Morgan Lewis in 1900 and his wife Georgia. I think they are her sisters not her children. I found Mary F. Riley in the 1880 census but could not locate her after that and still can't. In 1880 her husband was not listed but he had gone to Texas and married again so that explains him not being listed. If my Mary Frances Bennett (should be Riley) married Joseph A. Bates in 1881 then Pearl and Fannie would be his children and he and Mary could have died before 1900. I looked for them in Indiana and Kentucky and did not locate either of them. Could you give me the e-mail of the lady that gave you this information I would like to talk with her about the Bennett Family. Thnanks again for all of your help.

Bennett family
Anita: I notice on findagrave you have entered several of the Bennett's from Ohio County. I am looking for the burial of Mary F. Bennett Riley, she was the daughter of Joseph and Annie Bennett and the sister of Andrew J. Bennett that you put on findagrave. I know that Mary married Davis C. riley in 1969 in Ohio County and was with him in the 1970 census there. She was alone with four children in the 1880 census of Ohio county and I have not been able to locate her after that. I think she possibly married again but can't find the marriage. Any help you can give me I would appreciate. Thank you.

Oak Hill Cemetery
Have you ever seen any records where Livermore's Oak Hill Cemetery was referred to as Morton's Cemetery?

RE: Elinor Leet
I know about that but I see them all the time. Just pick and choose items from it and add it to the site - thanks.

Duh! Thanks for pointing this out. I don't think he was married 62 years after he died!

Huge thank you!
Hi Anita,
You have been a huge help in fulfilling many of my photo requests over the last few months - thank you so much! I truly appreciate your efforts and time spent on locating and photographing my many Ohio County relatives. I need to make a trip to the genealogical research center there,
With gratitude,
