Thank you for photographing the stone for Edward Curtiss and putting it on his memorial page. I just discovered it was there and was so pleased.

RE: George A. Saunders
Hi Geoff,
Thanks for getting back to me. Sorry to hear about the divorce.
Whenever you can check on this for me, it will be fine. There is no big rush. The weather hasn't been all that great for walking around a cemetery anyway.

Thanks!
Kathy

George A. Saunders
Hi Geoffrey,
A while back you took a photo of the headstone for George Saunders. I believe at Riverside Cemetery. F-A-G Memorial #36728938. Now a question has come up that he is not in Riverside, but in Evergreen. This is from Skye: "According to the Lake County Genealogical Society transcriptions that are on line, Gladys H Saunders 1903-1983 is in Section H, row 11, stone 7 in Evergreen Cemetery in Painesville. George A Saunders/Ohio/ Cpl US Army/World War I/ March 24, 1893 March 14, 1972 is in section H, row 12, stone 8."
His obituary says Riverside, so there is definately some confusion going on here. The next time you are out to either of them, can you clarify this for me? You have done a great job for me in the past, and I'd appreciate any help you can give me.
Thanks!

Kirby Family Thanks
Thank you so much for taking the photos and even adding the graphic for one missing stone for the Kirby family. Their descendants now number in the tens of thousands. You have done us all a great service.

Charlotte Reddles Kirby thanks
Thanks so much for finding this grave and taking this photo of Charlotte Reddles Kirby - my ancestor. If you do not mind, I would be honored to take over the management of this memorial as I have also found her descendants that I would like to link to this memorial. Her family walked to Utah as pioneers.

Much thanks

I looked on Google Maps, street view and there was still a school there. But it could have been remodeled to be condominiums. The Center Street Village Elementary school in on the register of National Historic buildings. Mentor Village School (added 2005 - Building - #05000026) Also known as Center Street Village Elementary School, 7482 Center St., Mentor, Ohio. I also saw that it is called, "Center Street Village Condominium, same address, phone 440-255-0670. If you stop in or phone I bet you can get the lowdown on the school. I may just call to find out myself.

Thanks for your help and info.

RE: GARRIT BRASS MARKER
Geoffrey, I would appreciate some photos of this school. The cemetery (Mentor Pioneer or Center Street Cemetery) was at the present Center Street Village Elementary School, a 2 story red brick building. It is on the northwest corner of Center Street (SR 615) and Mentor Avenue (US 20), 7482 Center St, Mentor, OH 44060-5804. phone (440) 255-5817. It reportedly was probably where the current gymnasium and auditorium are it has been reported. I have seen a copy of an old burial map of this cemetery but Garrit Brass was not listed, but I was not wearing my reading glasses that day. If you have a chance to ask anyone on site, I wonder if any the people buried in the old cemetery were moved, or were they all left in place?

Thanks for your help

GARRIT BRASS MARKER
THANK YOU Geoffrey Krug, for taking the photo of Garrit Brass. It is reported that the Garrit Brass marker was moved from the old Mentor Cemetery and a school was built on the site. I wonder what the school looks like. Anyway I will look that up on Google images.
