I think this "Find-a-Grave" website is wonderful, and I hope more people will add data to it. Hopefully my input will help someone out there.|
I so enjoy finding & visiting the old pioneer cemeteries, where the dates go back to the 1700-1800's.
I'll be more than happy to make corrections and/or add data, make relationship links, etc, but I am curtailing (not stopping) transferring memorials due to a growing misunderstanding of what Find-a-grave is all about.
Please do not leave me a message of "any kind" without leaving a way for me to get back to you. It makes no sense to do so - it is useless!

Several of my Martin ancestors are buried at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery (Brison Martin is my 3rd great grandfather). While searching his children, I came across this memorial to Mary Ann Elizabeth Martin. I am wondering who her husband is. you mention that his name was J. W. Martin. Could this be Brison's son John Martin? I have been unable to track down any further information.
Thank you so much for adding these memorials.

I just came across this site and found the pictures of the graves of my Mother and Son that are buried there. I wanted to thank you for the beautiful comments and momento pictures you left beneath their pictures. Their names are Judith Peterson and Casey Birchfield. May God bless you !
So happy to hear you like the old pioneer cemeteries. Three years ago I drove to Aberdeen/Rising Sun to find my grandmother's grave. I found a very old cemetery where I thought the grave should be: right next to her mother's grave. Her mother is Nancy A Jenkins Pate. You got it right, Jenkins is the maiden name. Then she married a Shehane, became widowed and then married Joseph Pate. My grandmother, Anne Laura Pate is one of 3 children born to this union. I could not find my grandmother's grave but it should be next to Nancy Jenkins Pate.

My thanks to you for making these links to Frank's parents. They now have all four of their children linked with them.
With great respect...

Yes, I thought that was interesting, too. Back in 1903, it must have previously been referred to by a different name. Thanks for your help!
