My grandmother started this page, she is now incapable of continuing. I will be glad to update any information as needed.|
If you want transfers please send me an individual request for each memorial. I will not hunt for sisters and brothers.
Thanks, mstarrc (48043349)
I retired in June 2006 and boy, is that boring!
I started doing my family's genealogy to pass the
time and stumbled across findagrave.com, finding
some of my relatives listed. So, I thought, great! This will give me something to do to
wile away the hours, so I started going to the
cemeteries and taking pics of the headstones and
posting them on Fag.com. It helps other people find their "departed" friends and relatives.
I'm sure I make more than my share of mistakes and welcome any corrections and/or additions.

|charles berndt||she is my great-great grandmother|
Hello: My name is Charles Rudolph Berndt from McHenry Illinois. My father was Louis Charles Berndt. His mother was Elizabeth Emilie Hulda Flemming. Her father was William Ernst Carl Frederick Flemming. His mother was Wilhelmine Dorothea Juliana Hockbart Flemming. I have much info on the Flemming families from my fathers genealogy work and I will soon be working on adding pictures,info,etc. and combining graves with their mothers,fathers,brothers,sisters,etc. If you wish to transfer this and any Flemming and Berndt family find-a-grave listings from Oak Hill to me that would be ok with me. If not I will soon start adding things but the add-ons may be sent to you for approval. We must be related somehow. Chuck Berndt 1106 Bonita Lane,Mchenry Illinois 60050 815-385-7687 email@example.com
|Charlie Powers||Lena Gherring|
Thanks a lot for transferring Lena Gherring to me. I appreciate it.
|Stuart Murray||Daniel Waggoner Hughey|
I believe this other memorial #119230334 is the same person. My other source for this comes from a headstone application from the Deceased Union War Veterens. See this link: http://search.ancestry.com/search/db.aspx?dbid=1195 where Daniel Hughey application is located on the lower left corner of the picture. I know the Hughey family lived in Alfalfa County just east of Woods county. I don't know if he passed away in Woods Co Oklahoma and then interned at Belle Rive, Jefferson County, Illinois, USA. It seems likely. The dates do line up for his birth.

|Alma Sanford||RE: Whippoorwil Cemetery|
Thank you so much. When I am next up that way I will drive over to see it.
The Find a Grave site is such a blessing to researchers. Thanks for being a part of it.
|Alma Sanford||directions to cemetery|
I cannot find any directions to reach the Whippoorwill cemetery at Schochoh. Do you have a road number or some direction out of Russellville. I know the location of the Red River Cemetery near Adairville but can't find anything out about how to get to Whippoorwill. I have a great-great grandmother there whose grave I would love to visit.
|Steph T||RE: Samuel French|
Really glad I could help! I wish I would have taken a shot from further away, because he seems to be all alone in a little valley between the two sections of the cemetery, and it's really quite pretty! If there are others, please put up a request or send me a note, as I took a bunch of photos that day - and also wouldn't mind going back again! Best Regards, Steph

|Yeschke||Fred Frederick Achziger|
This was a surprise to receive a transfer for Fred Achziger. He has a lot of history, so I tried keeping it simple. His second wife married into my Miller family living in Ritzville. Thank you.
