I've been researching since early 1970's.|
I love this site & the many volunteers who
make it possible.
Suggest a correction, please!
If I duped it, I'll delete it.
If you have more info, I'll add it.
If I typed something wrong, I'll fix it.
If it's your relative or friend (and not my direct line :-)), I'll transfer it, unless it's a family I am researching for friends or family!
You can freely use any pictures I have put on here for personal use or for your website.
Have a Blessed Day!

Thank you for putting this on Findagrave. John H. McAndrews is my late husband's great grandfather. John's daughter, Lucille, was the only child of John and his wife Alice C. (Kate) Brandshaw. John died in Dec. 1872 and Lucille was born the following May. I have been trying to find John's father. It is believed he was married to an Elizabeth. I have a list of children (possibly John's sibling)s. I would love to hear from anyone working on this line. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Thanks for the info. What was his daughter's name?
|Sharri Bodnar||Re: Rev. Horatio Hastings Weld|
I am not related to Horatio or his family. I don't know of anyone that is either. I think that the photo you have for him would be a nice touch to his memorial. Hopefully, someone who is doing research on him or his family might see this memorial and appreciate the photo.

Thank you for not making deleting your entry into a major point.
When I first noticed a duplicate, I just notified one person.
Then I found more duplicated memorials, and notified the "owners".
I got some positive reactions, and furious ones.
Then I thought: Why were duplicates created?
Well, some people get cemetery books and upload all entries to Findagrave. Some have done 100,000 and more!
Other people go to a cemetery and photograph gravestones. And all info from the stones is entered into Findagrave. Some people have taken 50,000 photos and more....!!
Yet other people have researched their family trees and entered all members into Findagrave.
I DO understand that with such large numbers, checking first if a memorial already exists is well nay impossible.
That is why I checked some spelling mistakes on Findagrave and corrected them (3000 so far, many more to go) and after accepting I checked the cemetery for duplicates (about 300 so far).
Maybe there should be a check in Findagrave when uploading a name+cemetery+date whether the record already exists. But there is no check now.
What a wonderful site, FINDAGRAVE!
Have a nice Christmas,

I didn't know I could submit an edit when I wrote my first message concerning Melvin. I thought I had to be the one managing the memorial.

Pagie and Loamie Lewis are Melvon Lewis' parents. They are my Great Grand parents. Loamie's number on the site is 137165804. Pagie's number is 137154249. If you wouldn't mind connecting them, I would appreciate it.
|Willis Stagner||Barney Stagner|
Thank you for helping me, I don't usually make that big an error. If you know where James Barnet Stagner is buried I would love to know. I have some pictures on my facebook page and Find A Grave. You are welcome to look and use the ones you like.
