We have been tracing our family trees for a number of decades. As part of that research, we have walked a number of cemeteries photographing the gravestones. Jim's genealogy centers on Mason County, WV and Elizabeth's family comes from the western New York area. |
ADDITIONS or CORRECTIONS
Please submit these with the "Suggest a Correction" link under the white "Edit" tab on the memorial page. If you are requesting a link, please include the memorial's ID number in the request.
The purpose of Find A Grave is to record burial locations, not build your family tree. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request.
If you wish to gather your family members, use the "Virtual Cemetery" feature. Many volunteers spend countless hours walking, photographing, and uploading memorials as a genealogical resource for everyone.
Requests for transfers outside the "Family First" policy will not be honored. (Note: "Family First" as defined by Find A Grave in the FAQs are direct relatives within four generations as siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren)
All the current policies on transfers can be found at "How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?" under the "Help with Find A Grave" link on the left hand side of the page.
Photographs we have taken can be used on other websites or in printed materials ONLY if credit is given to Findagrave.com (including cemetery name) and credit is given to "Jim and Elizabeth" as photographers. Any images we have uploaded are copyrighted and are not free for the taking without proper credit.

|Paula Casto||Elijah McKinney|
I am the great grand-daughter of Elijah McKinney. I would like to visit his grave site if it is possible to get to it. Several of my other relatives are buried in The McKinney-Geer and it has been several years since I was at this cemetery. Any directions will be most helpful.
Thank You Paula McKinney Casto

Jim and Elizabeth,
THANK YOU so much for the Headstone photo. It will be a great addition to my genealogy file.
Thanks again for your time and effort. It means a great deal to me.
I am so sorry for taking so long to thank you.

You have indicated in your profile that you feel that the purpose of the findagrave site is to record a person's place of burial and not a place to "build a family tree." I can agree with that philosophy. Mary J Morse, #946471163, was buried with her first husband, George W Seymour, #946471161, as indicated on their shared gravestone. but since I cannot locate the place of burial of her second husband, so as to indicate the family link in her memorial, I ask that you indicate his name in her bio. He was Elmer Clifford Agar (1879-1961) and they married in 1917. He survived her 1936 death. Her first marriage was in 1884, with his death being in 1915. Thank you.
