|I got interested in cemeteries when I took over the care of our 1846 family cemetery in Jackson County, WV. |
Please do not add birth/death/marriage certificates to my memorials for it takes space away from those who can add pictures of the person.
Please send requests through the Edit tab, click on "Suggest a Correction or Provide Additional Info".
I research every person that I create a memorial for and attempt to include as much information as possible.
I will transfer any memorial that is a close relation to you and not of my family lines. Please state how you are related to the individual you want transferred.

Since you sorta know the area, maybe you know where this cem. is or maybe not. But it is up the road that goes in front of the King-Mullins cem. and straight up that road which goes across the mountain to Falling Rock. Some people say Upper Falling Rock because it's the head of Falling Rock that comes out down below Clendenin. Anyway, after crossing the mountain, you go about maybe a mile and you come to a fork in the road. Take the left and the cem. is over on the right up behind the Woods homeplace. There's other cem. up in there too. If you take the fork back to the right in about a half mile you'll come back into Kan. Co.

I know the town of Clendenin is in Kan. Co, but this isn't in the town. It's waaaayyy out in the country and it used to be a route of Clendenin. Now they just have box numbers with the address of Clendenin, even up over the Clay Co line. Dutch Ridge is even Clendenin now. Part of it is in Clay Co also. They get their mail out of the Clendenin PO, so therefore their address is Clendenin. I know the area like the back of my hand. My parents were raised up there. I was born up there (but on down the road in Kan. Co.) I can tell you exactly where the Clay Co. line is even tho' there isn't a sign there anymore. I hope this clears things up for you. I'm a long way from there now or I could take you and show you. You might be a long way from there too.

Samuel Brady Scott is the first cousin of Karl Winfield Scott, my grandfather. Are you related?
|Ron Miller||Cemetery name|
I'm in need of some clarification that hopefully you can give. I have a sister Mary Ellen Miller and my grandparents Eli and Mary Miller according to their death certificates buried at Stone lick I have a GGrandfather George Randolph and GGrandmother Phoebe Randolph according to their Death certificates are buried in Parsons Cemetery Well the problem is they all rest side by side in the same cemetery. I have been to this cemetery and the headstone pictures I have looked at of other folks buried in Stonelick tells me that this is not the same Stonelick cemetery nor does its location match any of the Parsons cemeteries. I cannot find any reference to this cemetery in the Wv records or Find A Grave listings. The only way I know to get to the cemetery is to pull off the side of I-77 a ways South of Fairplane, where 77 splits, and climb the hill now I know there must be another way to get in because it would be near impossible to carry a casket up that hill. Just to make things even more confusing, my oldest brother(84yo) who was born down on stonelick tells me that this cemetery was called both Stonelick and Parsons. It is near a farm owned by a Marshall R. Parsons. Now ain't this a mess. If you or someone you know can cipher out the name of this cemetery I would be thankful.

Thanks Pj ... my dad's nickname was PJ when he was younger! Yes, Charlotte is related. But by marriage. You can keep her, especially if you will check on your next visit! I hope it is OK that I keep your pictures in my file. I try to always put your name and date on them!! You do a great job with monument photos! Sincerely, Sharon
