Currently working on several trees. Born in Tampa, Florida, raised in Bayside, Queens County, New York City, New York, currently living in Northern New Jersey. Retired in 2008.|
On my mother's side there are Irish and German immigrants (mid 1800s) who lived and raised families in the New York City area. My grandmother on my father's side is the link that makes me a direct descendant of Edward Doty who came over on the Mayflower in 1620. There are generations of colonizers and pioneers on this side. My family on my father's side were pioneers who went from New England to Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Iowa and finally into the western states. I am trying to organize everything for future generations and to honor my ancestors who have been forgotten and struggled greatly to just to survive.
I WILL GLADLY TRANSFER MEMORIALS TO RELATIVES OF ANYONE WHO I HAVE ADDED, PROVIDING THE INDIVIDUAL IS NOT PART OF MY OWN CLOSE FAMILY. PLEASE USE THE EDIT TAB ON THE MEMORIAL PAGE TO REQUEST TRANSFERS. YOU MAY ALSO USE ANY PHOTOS THAT I HAVE TAKEN FOR YOUR FAMILY TREES, ETC.

|Maggi||Barbara Dobson; Calvary Cem NY|
Dear Mr. Brown,
Re: memorial # 80215658, Barbara Dobson. Through ancestry research I BELIEVE that my great-great grandfather, Peter Dobson, re-married a MUCH younger woman by the name of Mary Morgan circa 1909. I have found them in 1910 census with daughter Mary, but did NOT know (if this is them ) that they had a second child!!! Do you by ANY chance know if Peter and/or Mary are buried in this plot as well???
I have pics from Calvary Cemetery of Peter's first wife's grave but he is not listed on the marker. The family story went that he was considered a "black sheep"... probably because of second younger wife after my great-great grandmother died. ANY information you have or know would be so much appreciated. THANKS!

|Melony Graham||Problem with York County|
You have a Susan Welty Shields connected as the daughter of Daniel and Eluzabeth Smeltzer Welty.
Although they did have a daughter Susanna Welty born June 24/25 1854 christened 16 August 1854 at Mount Zion Church. She is my great grandmother not the Susan Welty of Westmoreland who married a Shield.
My great grandmother lived and died in York, I have a photo of her mother Elizabeth Smeltzer Welty,Susanna is buried in York at Mount Zion # 6005001
I was going to connect her to her parents and found the error, I can't figure out who originally submitted this I formation, or why. But I am planning on connecting my family, you may want to notify the family of Susanna Welty Shields that they may have to rethink their family line. If they want they can contact me at
