Beverly - Thanks so much for taking the photo of the gravestone of William Long Smith in Milford.
Wish I could do my own research for my father's family of Smiths in Hunterdon. William is my 2nd great-great uncle. -Claire Smith Hanson
Thank you for photographing the Henry B./ Caroline Rittenhouse monument.
The stone is misleading. Her maiden name is Cooley and her middle name was Forman.
Henry B. Rittenhouse New Jersey Marriages, 1678-1985 marriage: 24 Jun 1854 spouse: Caroline F. Cooley
Her parents were John Lippincott Cooley and Sarah Pursel. John is buried in Milford Christian Churchyard.
John & Sarah were parents of eight children: Mary Vanderbilt 1823-1887, Abigail Rittenhouse 1825-1873, Elizabeth 1827-1842, George 1828-1891, William 1830-1891, Caroline, John 1836-1912, and Jacob 1838-1874. Children, spouses, dates: from Princeton manuscript. File: "Cooley family papers"
New Jersey will: 7603J 1876
