Richard was born in Paramus, New Jersey in 1958.

Education and career:
Richard went to Montclair University and later Rutgers University gaining a Masters Degree in Chemistry. He worked at most of the major pharmaceutical companies and spent seven years at Merck in Rahway, New Jersey.

He started work in genealogy in 1986 when he made a list of cousins and later wrote it up in Microsoft Word on his Macintosh computer. He found living relatives in Sweden and in Norway. He is still searching for living relatives in Alsace, Germany, and Ireland.

His Alsace origins are in Strasbourg. His Norway origins are in Farsund. His German origins are in Berlin. His Conboy Irish origins are in Hollygrove and Coalpits, Athleague, Killeroran, County Galway. His Finn and Creedon Irish origins are from Millstreet, County Cork. His Kershaws were from the Netherlands, but were in the US before 1850. His Burkes and Nortons have not been traced back to a county in Ireland.

RE: Earl R. Lewis
I have deleted the erroneous photo for Earl R. Lewis on his famous memorial and replaced it with the one that you updated at his Wikipedia site.

Thanks for letting me know.

Hi Richard,
Can you tell me how you have the photo of my father's portrait? I thank you for adding it, but I was quite surprised to see it, and then to have it added by someone my age :)

You had created a link #12417863 to a grave site of Steener Nilsen. On the page it states you are a eighth great-grandfather. If so, we are relatives way back in time.

Hi! Are you aware that Matilda Vail Schenck was the maid of honor at Oscar and Jean Courter's wedding? Found an article...let me know if you are interested.

P.S. Matilda was d/o Catherine W. Schenck, related to R-go.
Am going to try to contact him as well.

Edward Oldrin Sr. Woodland
I posted the Oldrin family monument photo. Feel free to reuse it if you want.

I also took a photo of the actual inscription for Edward Oldrin Sr. but it is very weathered.
If you want I can send you that even though only a few words are legible.
