I am a retired mechanic-truck driver and a former Marine Veteran, 1965-1969. Charlie Battery, 1st Battalion, 12th Marines, 3rd Division, Vietnam DMZ 2 tours 1966-1968.|
I try to take the most legible pictures I can. I believe in recording history for future generations. This is the best way I know to HONOR and Remember the deceased. I am adding memorials from books and graveyards so others can find their friends and family members.
If you would like some one transferred to you (friends or family) just ask. -(USE THE EDIT TAB)- on the memorial you want transfered. Glad to do links and I will add obituaries to BIO section also. (USE THE EDIT TAB!)
If I can help you with information let me know. (USE THE EDIT TAB!)
Semper Fidelis Sgt. Ed Elstan
Any pictures I have added you are welcome to use them for your personal use.

Thank you so much for the picture of his gravestone. Your help is very much appreciated.
Mahalo, Sgt Ed, for transferring Butchy's memorial to me and thank you so much too for creating it and getting a photo of his headstone. Had you not done so, all I would have known was that he had died. All the best to you.

Thank you, Sgt! These are my grandparents (I grew up in the area) but unfortunately I'm a long way away and don't often get back. I'm very appreciative of the photographs!

Thanks very much for fulfilling my photo request of Billy's marker. Beautiful photo!

Yes, it is funny. And sometimes people have them in the wrong cemetery and then when they find out the right cemetery, they move them even if there is already a memorial for that person in the right cemetery, which then creates a duplicate. I asked one person to delete their memorial since it was in the wrong cemetery and there was already one in the right cemetery, and they just moved it. I guess some people are more interested in the numbers than anything else. I wish find-a-grave would allow us to see the history of a memorial, like if it had been moved into the current cemetery.

I have taken all of the photos for the military markers that are located on the inside of the circle drive at the cemetery...thru Section 6.
I have started to edit some of the memorials and add photos of double family markers. I will not add any of the military markers until you request them. I am also adding any recent graves from when the survey was taken in 2006. Any questions, please give me a shout. I'll wait on you next request list this weekend. I have to work pretty fast since you and your friend are requesting 20 each. I can only accept 20 because of the limit policy; but I can continue to accept additional request as soon as I post less than 20
