RE: Frederick Tiedt
No, I am not related.

You can contact the Cheney Historical Museum as they have several family genealogies researched, compiled and housed in the museum. You can find them on the internet and Facebook. They will be more than happy to answer your questions.

The close-up of her stone pic in Mays cemetery is shown sideways. Could you please correct to upright?

RE: Scott
Facing east, the black section is by itself with a fence around it by the road thru the cemetery where the older graves are. It is not the fenced in newer portion north part of the cemetery. Since they are black, many of those graves are not marked. Not racist, just fact.

RE: Scott
Cool Springs in Colquitt Co. GA near Doerun. If you get back over there look in the black section for the Scotts

James Scott
When you looked for his grave at Cool Springs did you look in the black portion? He and the other Scotts are black and they are in the location by the back road.

RE: Mary Puttenbaugh
Malisa was born 1828 and she was married to James Taylor on 26 Oct 1845 in Huntington, IN. so she must have married about 17 so I think this is her first marriage. If you look at findagrave and click on the link to her father Edward, I detailed alot of information to help others. Her maiden name is Marshall. In the olden days sometimes an s was written with a downward loop that makes it look like a y. An example is looking at old wills and the word witness and one of the s is sometimes written like a y so if you look at the words M. Marshall and you write it with the s as an y it reads as M. Mary Hall which is where someone must have seen a document and thought that it was M. Mary Hall. The obit for her father Edward Marshall which I typed up on findagrave lists all his grandchildren and they are the children of Malisa
proving her father is Edward Marshall and her maiden name is Marshall.I found nothing to show her middle name as of yet.

RE: Rife/Blasser
Sue, Margaret Blasser is my first cousin six times removed. My grandmother was a Blosser, so I have a lot of info on the Blaser/Blasser/Blosser family line. I have recently discovered the parents of Daniel Rife (possibly). I have discovered that Rife has various spellings just as Blasser does. I have found that Rife could also be spelled Reiff.

I would love to share info with you, and see what you have on the Rife/Blasser ancestors. I have discovered that they had at least 10 children. Feel free to send me an email at I look forward to hearing from you.
