RE: Calvin Luke Smith
Calvin Luke Smith's father was Calvin Lucas/Luke Smith 1842-1927. His profile in my tree is: Burial in Level Grove Cemetery in Cornelia, GA. This is recorded on the death record and in Roots cemeteries: “C L Smith”. I have found no memorials for him. There is a Level Grove Baptist Cemetery, but no listing, and this could be a different cemetery.
His first wife Louisa Josephine Hayes, divorced, listed herself as a widow in 1906 and gave the name “Lucas”, but by this time Calvin Luke Smith, Sr. was married to Mary A “Minnie” Brown Henderson and died in 1927. If we go back a generation we have William Smith and Elizabeth Smith They are buried in Walton County, GA. Memorials: 34767653 and 34767601. I believe these are the correct parents of Calvin Lucas/Luke Smith. But here is where it gets sticky. Elizabeth's maiden name is all over the lot in the 30+ trees on Ancestry. I think she was a “Brady” as that is the name listed on the death record of one of the sons. Most people have “Mitchell”, but no sources and there is obviously lots of copying.
I hope this has been helpful.
My wife and I have stayed at a fantastic B&B in Madison, GA, called the "Brady Inn". I tried while there to trace the family back and I believe they were from Walton Co. at one time.

Calvin Luke Smith
I was looking for some records on Smith and found death and WWI info on Calvin L Smith and his wife: Nora B Church Smith.
If you have access to my tree is public there. Calvin:; Nora:
If the copies are not clear for you, I could email them to you.

Ida Harden Darby vs. Ida Harden Darby
Hello RrrrrGrrrr.

TBH here. My friends call me Time for short. We have done business before. You transfered my great grand uncle Early J. Smith to me last year.
I need your help with something. My uncle was related to the Echols and I'm working on them now.
In the Echols/Poss lot behind the Echols lot my uncle is burned in there's a Ida Harden Darby (1874-1959). These two lots are in Section 6.
Now here's the problem. On a search today on the Find A Grave site for Crestlawn two Ida Harden Darby's came up showing the same dates of birth and death. The only different between the two is the sections. The one that you entered is in Section 10 and the one that I entered is in Section 6. The only different is the markers. I always run a check to see if a people has already been entered before I enter it. Your Ida Harden Darby didn't come up so I entered my Ida Harden Darby. I was checking to see if Ida's husband was burned at Crestlawn and your Ida and my Ida were the only Darby's that came up.What do you remember about the names on the markers on each side of your Ida. Also where in section 10 is this marker located if I'm looking up into section 10 from the that divides sections 10 & 11.

Your help in this matter would be greatly welcomed.

Regards, Time
