Bio

If you are sending edits, I will not spend hours looking for something that you have already found.
Any edit that adds or changes info shown on a gravestone or on the Find A Grave Memorial Record must be supported by a document from an "OFFICIAL" source. That means one of only three sources:
1. a church document,
2. a government document or
3. a published newspaper article.
Please list your sources on "Notes" on the 'Edit' page at the time of your suggestion. All edits will be declined if the source is not sent with them. Any links provided need to be viewable on _free access sites_, as I cannot afford Ancestry, Newspapers.com, etc., etc.

*********************
Please do NOT add death, birth or marriage certificate images to my memorials, thank you.
*********************
Why no certificates? Because many people view them as private, personal and do not wish the world to see them posted (at a free site). These memorials honor our loved ones: they are not a collection of working notes and official records. Honor the deceased with memories: pictures, and stories about them, their lives, their service, etc. Please respect my, and the wishes of the person's descendants, thank you!

Per Find a Grave, Obituaries must not include the names of living people.

I do not consider information from Ancestry as a source for edits. Neither are Census records "proof". Family history books have turned out to not be reliable sources, as I found out from a couple of books regarding my family. You need more than that.

Find A Grave's mission is 'graves registration', not a place to list your entire genealogy or every single census, etc. etc. If you have extensive history/photos to post, a genealogy site may be a better option. This is findagrave, not ancestry.

Please do not add photos of documents, obits or newspaper or book articles to my memorials. They often are illegible or contravene copyright and many contain information which proves hurtful to their families.

You do not need a memorial transferred to make corrections, add information or photos. If you wish a transfer, please prove your relationship.

Please do not move your Burial Unknown or your memorial created in the wrong cemetery into the correct cemetery based on the information you found from my memorial, then demand that I delete my 'duplicate'. FAG gives priority to the memorial in the _correct_ cemetery

From Find A Grave guidelines: ...biographical information and obituaries are not to be included in a virtual flower.
