My genealogy research has been ongoing for 35 years and have volunteered photo request for about 15 of those years. If I am part of your "tree" I would be glad to share whatever I have to further your research.|

The gate in your photo at the Lisbon Cemetery was recently removed. It will be replaced later this year with the name in a steel arch over the entrance. There is also a new steel fence along the front and is surrounded on the other three sides with a black chain link fence. New landscaping and a new concrete paved parking area has been added. All this by a construction company doing urban renewal between the cemetery and Lancaster Road.

I don't know where Henry H Smedley's dad is buried. If the Smedleys are in your family tree, I am happy to transfer the record to you.

The information on Henry Harrison Smedley came from a book written about the Confederates buried at Elmwood.
Very good book called, "Confederates of Elmwood: A Compilation of Information Concerning Confederate Soldiers and Veterans Buried at Elmwood Cemetery, Memphis, Tennessee" by John W. Cothern. You can buy it at Amazon or Family Roots Publishing. It's about $30 and worth every bit of it, as many of these graves are only marked with concrete posts. Elmwood's office has a plat that can identify the men buried in the graves unmarked with proper gravestones.
I found Elmwood when I finally determined it was where my 3rd great grandfather was buried.
On my Parrishes, I have tracked them back to Thomas Eldridge Parrish, born 9 Jan 1744 in Charles City, Goochland Co., VA. I don't know if our Parrishes intersect...

Thank you for your time and effort in finding grave is unmarked. I have listed it as such.

I believe I got that info from a pastoral record.

Tom, David Andrew Harris is also my husband's great grandfather. I believe you and he both descend from David A. & Camilla Harris. Edna Harris Whitt was my husband's grandmother who was a sister to Hulda Bertha who is your grandmother right? We went to the cemetery where David Sr. is buried and took a lot of pictures. If you don't mind, I would like to maintain this site since he is also directly related to my husband.
It has been a while, but I was in touch with Rita Dipprey on ancestry.com and we shared quite a bit of information.
