I know why the graves stones sink. They did not have vaults for the graves. This is required in MD now.
You saved the grave of Joshua Bounds and again many Thanks.
I am worried about the graves of Thomas Jackson Bounds, Beatrice Reiman, and Henry Reiman, because they are behind the Bounds and Reiman tombstones. I have the bill of sale for the plots. They were legally bought and the land was part of the cemetery. I'm afraid someone destroyed them, my Grandfather, Aunt and Uncle.
Everyone use to carry pruners with them, so they could stop by the graveyard. It use to be cut the Saturday before Decoration Day.
I'm glad you posted the warning.

|Beverly Bounds Davis||Graves moved!!!|
I just read your posting of May 18, 2015 at 9:45 AM.
I am worried because my grandfather is buried behind my Grandmother. She is buried in front of the Bounds Stone with the younger children. He is buried with his adult child and her husband ( Reiman). I have proof of payment for the plots.
Who is responsible for the cemetery? I have wanted to donate because it is not being kept up.
The church doesn't even cut close to them. I know there were graves when I was young were they now park.
I hope to get to the Howard High reunion for the class of 1960 this October, I'll see for myself.
Virginia nee: Fisher Grimes has my current address, as does everyone in the class of 1960.

Thank you, I don't think it would be wise.
1.I don't know how to add the information.
2. I'm just learning my new computer.
3.I have found Find-a-Grave to helpful to mess up.
I can give you help on most graves in the Savage graveyard, related to most. Went tnere once a year for 8years. Then for the next 55 years once a week or so. I often went to my Grandfather's grave when upset.
I can walk that graveyard without walking on graves. I know where there are graves wtthout markers.
It makes me home sick.
Which graves did I try to help with? I get in trouble with my family for being to helpful.

HI, Walter Bounds is the son-in-law of Joseph Bounds 1834-1912 and his nephew. he's the first husband of Mary Hunt (Mary Ann nee: Bounds Bounds Hunt. She lies between him and their son Earl Bounds. Mr.Hunt was the 2nd husband. She was Joseph and Elizabeth's last daughter. All 8 are buried there,5 boys and 3 girls.
I'm going to a Reunion in October and hope to find out, why it is not being taken care of. I would be glade to donate money. The Church does not take of anything right next to the church. The graves next to the church were given by the Grace Methodist Episcopal Church - South. All the ones down the hill - top no. They were bought and I have receipts for them. Thank you, Bev.
