Thank you Mr TERRY for the photo of Mattie Terry
and Nancy's burial vault at East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. I am a son of R.B. Terry and Mattie was his first wife. They were married in Courtland and they had two children. Benford and Nancy Terry. I never met them but I will be going to visit the cemetery soon.
If Benford is alive I would like to meet him. He is my half brother. I LIVE IN Tennessee and can come to see him.

|Charles Moore||Robert White Lang|
In reference to the CSA Flag tribute that you left at the site of Robert White Lang, memorial # 38898451, Robert White Lang fought with the 12th Tennessee Cavalry, USA not CSA.(Source National Park Service, Soldier Sailor Database) Though the flag tribute has the best intentions, it is misplaced.
This was a very divided family during the war. Robert White Lang's own father, Joseph C. Lang, and his uncle, Henry Wade Lang (also my ggg-grandfather), in contrast fought with Co. K, 9th Alabama Infantry. His father died at Salem Church, VA, in 1863. Henry Wade Lang was one of the few of the 9th Alabama paroled at Appomattox. Another uncle, Robert Stephen Lang, died at Shiloh, with the 49th Alabama Infantry, Co E. Two cousins also enlisted with a Union unit, the First Alabama Cavalry, USA. Those two cousins had a brother who fought with the 49th Alabama Infantry. A very divided family.
