Hi, again, Janet. In your first message you said Mary Ann Murdock was your great-great-great grandmother, and in your second message you said she was your great grandmother. Through which of her children are you directly related? I have 8000 people in my family tree and have done quite a bit of research and cannot find you anywhere. I would love to add you to the Hammond family tree, but you will need to tell me exactly how you are related to Mary Ann Murdock. Thanks again!

Hammond Family
Hi, Janet. Did you receive my email from several weeks ago regarding my great-grandmother, Mary Ann Murdock Hammond and the Hammond family? I've never received a reply and wanted to make sure you got it. Thanks.

Janet: From my research, my husband and you have a connection Wilkinson and Wiggins. I have researched the Wilkinson Family and (with others help) come up with four siblings: Asa Wilkinson, Martha Wilkinson, Greenberry Wilkinson, and J Samuel Wilkinson, Sr. I published a book documenting as much as I could on these 4 siblings. I would love to add your family info to mine. Please email me at Thank you for our help and what you do to keep this site free.

Hi Janet,
I'm thinking Cora Lee and Gussie were distant realitives of mine also. Could you please tell me the name of their husbands? My Grandma was Nina Jo Gulledge. Her Parents were Harrison Jack and Maggie Gulledge.

RE: Greg McFarlin Memorial
Thank you very much! I corrected the link and chastised myself for not noticing the difference in dates. Thanks again.

RE: John Bowen
Janet, I was unaware that you were acquainted with John and his Dad. When I had seen what you did with his father Richard (my brother) I immediately called John's mother and told her and made sure I did something for John. She came to Jacksonville recently and we were looking at this website, she was very pleased, but she did not recognize your name. Perhaps she would like to personally thank you, but I will for both of us. Take care, God Bless. Ethel Bjork

James Richard Bowen, Sr.
Thank you for adding my brother to the Evergreen Cemetery listing and the excellent photo. I was so excited when I found it and called my sister-in-law so she could check it out also. You have made our day. I would ask if there is a way to link him to our parents who are also in Evergreen. Oliver Mann Bowen, Sr. Mem.# 86664721 and Henrietta Viola Osteen Bowen Mem#86665287. I have added a link for one of his sons who is buried by our parents, but it will not allow me to link Richard's parents, or I just don't know how to do it. Thank you very much. Ethel Bjork

Micajah Henry Bland ~ Hollywood Cemetery
Greetings. I claimed your photo request for Micajah Henry Bland at Hollywood Cemetery. I'm sorry to report, there is no gravestone with his name or anything similar. And this is not unusual, to find nothing, because the gravestones we DO find account for only about 1 out of every 150 burials; There are no original markers here, the original wartime burials were marked hastily by wooden boards that are long gone, and the only markers here today are VA markers placed by descendents at later dates.) In the case of your soldier, no marker has been placed. You can always contact the Hollywood Cemetery office for info on how to have a marker placed. I'll post a photo of the hallowed ground where he's buried, for you to see. Rich.
