RE: Merrill Willis of Madison Co KY
I am not related but Kathy Willis (#48034861) is. She and her dad have been here a couple times. Great folks and a joy to talk to. Wish you luck on your family tree. Mike.

Nancy Coffey
Rev George Washington Ford
Hi June,
I don't have a lot of info for you. When I first started researching my McQueary-Coffey family, I was told Margaret Ford, daughter of Elijah T Ford was my maternal gr gr grandmother married to John Coffey, but this is wrong. My gr gr grandmother was Elizabeth Popplewell,
but I kept the info on the Fords.
The following is the info I was given: Most of my info matches yours, but Elizabeth Coffee was George W's mother. His father was Raphael Ford (nickname probably, Ralph). Ralphael Ford was born in Surrey, England, in 1754 (Birth found at Holy Trinity Church, Guilford, Surrey, England.) He died about 1835 in TN. He came to Maryland, USA aboard a ship, "Fanny & Jenny". He is listed on the ship's log.
To my knowledge, I am only related to the Fords thru Mary Etna Ford Coffey Wilson, who was married to my gr gr uncle, Brine S Coffey. I don't have any info on Elizabeth Coffee other than year of birth, 1752.
Please email me if I can be of any help In Russell Co.
Sincerely, Nancy

Sorry, I'm so late in getting back to you. Years ago the ladies in Woods County put together a book with all the rural cemeteries in Woods County in it. I took the information from that to put it on find a grave. I have no idea why they don't match, since I am not familiar with that cemetery. The caretaker is Robert Corbin of Helena. Might try him.

Hope this helps you in your search.
