Dear Mr. Birely,
I want to thank you so much for the pictures you sent from the Hooppole Cemetery. Marie Meyer was my great great aunt. Did you have any luck with her husband Andrew Meyer or John Christian Rockenbach and his wife Catherine Hilger? They should all be buried in the same location. Is there anyway to repay you for your time and effort, just let me know.

Mr. Birely, I am working on a family history of the OTTO family to whom Mary Ellen Otto married into the Birely's. If you have an additional information you would care to provide or even to communicate so that will be as accurate as possible, it would be appreciated. I live in Kansas but visited the area and met with distant Otto living relatives both last year and this July. I keep finding more information all the time about my OTTO family and all that married into them. I have also visited Haughs and several other cemeteries in the area.

I appreciate your reply very much. I've tried to get Uncle Gerald linked in with the rest of the family but the lady who maintains his memorial does not respond. So I appreciate the time you took to get back to me!!

Thank you so much for leaving a message on my wall, and leaving a voice mail at work, wishing me a happy birthday. It brought a smile to my face, and it means a lot to me.

Elsie Lavina Platten Swarts.
Thank you for attaching her to father. I tried and it said to delete and start over. I couldn't figure out how to delete so was going to write to you.
Now we need Alice Maud Platten Lawton attached. I didn't find a marker for her.

You can't help further?
How did you confirm he served there? Do you have a service# on him?
I have the squadron records and I can't positively confirm this is him. The John T Wright in this memorial only shows a "Navy Achievement Medal" in 1973, three years after he would have left HA(L)-3 if it is him. The one I am looking for has at least 21 Air Medals that I am aware of when he left the squadron in 1970, and possibly a Distinguished Flying Cross.
