I currently live in Washington State. |
My ancestors lived in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana from about 1760 to 1930 when my parents moved to Baton Rouge. My mother was born in Marksville and my father in Bordelonville. Several generations of my ancestors are buried at St. Joseph in Marksville and at St. Peter in Bordelonville as well as other cemeteries in the Parish.

Jerry, I transferred Celestine Aymond's memorial to you. I was not sure about her parents. I thought it would be easier to transfer it to you to make the connections. Thanks, Joan

Hi my name is Candy Mayeaux. My grandfather was Nicolas Mayeux. I am looking to find who is his parents were. I found a census that stated his parents were Mary and Alfred Mayeux but when i look up Alfred's grave it doesnt list him as a child of Alfred? Can you help me with this?

Sorry about that, I didn't read the obit. I walked Cedar Hill and shot the cemetery so I was pretty certain I had her in the right cem but I've been wrong before!
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it!
If they're family to you I'll be happy to transfer.

Good morning Jerry!
I got an email telling me that I had duplicated this memorial (123542422) with #125797680. When I went to go figure it out, I see that you have one Mamie Ehrhardt Willis and so do I, but they're in different cemeteries.
I have a photo in mine but yours doesn't.
Can you tell me where you got the information for your memorial? It does make perfect sense that her and her husband are buried together, and he's at Sacred Heart, not Cedar Hill. I can go walk Cedar Hill, though, and see if I can find her again. Her headstone looks like one of the ones at the large memorial in the cem.

Ruby was my aunt....she was married to Patrick Daniel Mayeux, Sr., therefore, her last name at time of death was Mayeux, not Bordelon.

Thanks, that memorial had been merged and the other memorial had that link. There was many of our memorials merged with dupes, so might have a lot of bad links. Thanks Again, D & K
Would you please add her mother 7611293 and her father 7611332

|Lynne McDermott||Florian Aymond Mem. No. 48157499|
Just wanted to note a needed correction on date of death and place of birth. Per the tombstone photo and the Social Security Death Index, Florian Aymond died in Aug 1973, not 1953. Also, per his WWI Draft Reg. forms, he was born in Cottonport, Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana. Hope this helps! By the way, his wife Marion (Viola) Vitrano Aymond (1892-1967) was buried in Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans, La. with her first husband, Joseph John Vitrano Sr. (1893 – 1956). Have a great day!
