|Susan Bonser||F. H. Cushman|
David, I am trying to find our about F. H. Cushman and saw you had information on the grave. I wonder where that information came from--what was the source? I am trying to confirm this is Frederick Hurd Cushman of Bennington Vermont. THanks so much --Susan

|Doyle Smith||Allen Cemetery|
Find a grave: Not Elizabeth Ann Pennington. She died in Alabama during Civil War from wounds received by being thrown from the wagon while traveling to nurse John Thomas Smith after he had been captured by Union troops.
This stone is Ann Bice, 2nd wife of John Thomas Smith.
I really appreciate the contributions you have made to find-a-grave.
Doyle R. Smith, great grandson of John Thomas Smith.
|Ms McGuire||Wilber Fisk Buckelew|
Was interesting in how you found a photo of Wilber Fisk Buckelew, my Great Grand Uncle. I have many photos of My Great Grand mother, Mary Cornelia, his sister and photos of their father, Moses Scott Buckelew, but not Wilber.

Fixed the W. Ashley CSA inscription
Any additional info appreciated.

Thanks for catching that duplicate memorial. I've deleted one.
|Raymond Malaby||Correction to maiden name|
I want to suggest a correction to the maiden name of Esther Martha Walls Hargett, Find A Grave Memorial# 18772567. Her maiden name was actually WELLS. She was the daughter of Peter Edward Wells ( Memorial# 75874698) and Martha Nixon.
Thanks for all your hard work.
Grand nephew of Esther Martha Wells Hargett
|Lisa Legg||United Confederate Veteran Camp #3|
I received a copy of my great, great grandfather's Southern Cross of Honor Certification from the UDC. On it lists one of his endorsers as the United Confederate Veteran Camp #3. The UDC thought perhaps he was a member of the group. His name is Paul C Pigg. Here is some of the info I have on him.
Residence Patrick County VA;
Enlisted on 7/2/1861 at Narrows, VA as a Private.
On 7/2/1861 he mustered into "H" Co. VA 51st Infantry
(date and method of discharge not given)
He was listed as:
* POW 3/2/1865 Waynesboro, VA
* Confined 3/12/1865 Fort Delaware, DE
* Released 6/7/1865 Fort Delaware, DE
* Corpl 2/15/1865 (Estimated date)
I wanted to see if you had additional records for him. His Find a Grave number is 24862337.
Thank you Lisa Legg
|Ann Zoebel||Edward Arthur Edmund Neal|
Dear David Hill,
I was doing a little research today and found that someone had placed a marker for my great-great grandfather Edward Arthur Edmund Neal.
At least I think that is who the marker is for. I was wondering if you would share with me the information you have on him?
Perhaps you are the person who took the photo at the Keatchie, DeSota parish, La. Confederate Cemetery? If so please advise me.
I did not know he had fought in the Battle of Mansfield?
I do have another ancestor Major William Hall, also buried at that cemetery. We placed his marker a few years ago.
I have spent many hours researching for Edward Arthur Edmund Neal.
A number of years ago I did an inventory of that cemetery.
Please help me out
