Learn something each day, and teach something each day ...|
For me, photographing cemeteries has evolved from an interest in genealogy, nature, and a quest for understanding life. I enjoy following the paths of my ancestors, searching for their final resting places. I also enjoy fulfilling photo requests. Finding graves brings a rush that makes the search worthwhile. Photo volunteer work is just a small way of contributing and giving something back to others. Cemeteries are by nature peaceful places, and I enjoy the peace I find while searching. Yet, my favorite cemeteries are those that are filled with activity, either relatives visiting their loved ones, joggers, or people walking their dogs.
Currently Pekin IL is home base (but I love to travel).

Thanks so much for the time and effort you spent in locating and photographing this headstone for me it is not only a great photo but it is a great addition to our family tree!

Thank you for taking the time to locate and photograph this headstone. It means a great deal to be able to add his marker to the family history information. Your generosity is deeply appreciated, and I will try to "pay it forward" with my research.

Well if you ever get back I would appreciate it if you could see. Means a lot to me. But please only if you are there, don't make a special trip. I too love to go to the cemeteries as they are so peaceful. My son is in a gorgeous one in the middle of Green Valley in Henderson NV. While there you would never guess one of the busiest streets runs right by there. There is a huge lake like pond with swans and ducks there. Bells ring on the hour in the chapel. Makes me feel better after going to be with him. His name was Ryan.
I have to ask, but is Johan Mandelow buried by Sophia? I know they divorced but have no clue as to that.

I never really looked at my ancestors that close as we have family all over the country. I appreciate you doing that for me. I also see you took a picture of her headstone. Thank you again that was so nice of you. I have not been back to that area since 1958 although I lived in Metropolis IL. for 7 years. Again I am greatful for your help.

Thanks so much for the photo of Clarence's headstone, you work fast! :) Cheers from Oklahoma!
I received your notice that my great grandmothers cemetery was wrong. I thank you for pointing that out to me. I got the info. from an old family member so they probably got it wrong. Again thank you I have corrected it.
