My Grandpa (Hance Raulerson) gave me a Bible when I graduated from High School in 1964. I put every piece of information I could in it (starting with the information in his Bible). Then I went with my Mother to a Starling Family Reunion (my Mother's Aunt Mary). Meeting this lady changed my life, she was 74 years old at the time. That's when I got interested in genealogy. Through the years I have met people who have helped me on my way, starting with Virgel Raulerson, Casey Dinkins, 'Gene' Barber, Loyce Knabb (book), and Gene Hodnett, this man was unbelievable. We went to a Hodnett Family Reunion. I took my Copying machine and was trying to get copies of this mans work, I was in our camper and he came up and said "Sue you are missing the Family Reunion You can take my papers home and copy them send them back if you want to". This was the first time I had ever met this man (yes, I took them Home when I finished I sent them back special delivery). I do not take credit for my work in genealogy, I just give credit and thanks to all those folks who have helped me through the years. I started looking at Find A Grave for my parents Memorial and got hooked. I joined so I could put flowers on my parents grave. Also, I put in at lot of information on these flowers notes. I went back looking and the folks that created my Daddy's Memorial, Alton & Loudonia, had turned the Memorial over to me. I felt like I did in1964 and that's over 48 years ago. To me it brings families back together. Thank You Alton & Loudonia.

You are the 'owner' of this memorial and therefor can add the obit. Is there a problem doing that? I'm confused. :))

Hi Sue,

I tried to find you on Facebook, but was unsuccessful. The pictures of Aunt Eva and Aunt Edith are wonderful!

Thanks for keeping the family history for us all to see!

You are most welcome. I am pleased to see that you moved the memorial to Riverside. Seems so much better to have a final resting place.

RE: Hester Irene DeBerry Langley Wade
Hello Sue,
I am sorry for your loss. I can delete the one I added and move the picture if it is easier for you. I went it school with Wallace "Corky" Wade. My parents are buried at Arlington Park and I started taking photos of the grave markers and adding them to Find a Grave. A lot of the names had been added to find a grave but had no marker photos. So I add photos to ones without any and I created memorials and added photos for the ones that had not been added. If there is anything I can do to help just let me know.
