Bio and Links
Bio Photo Most of my ancestors originate from Britain and Ireland but I am researching a twig on the family tree that originates from Virgina & Missouri way way back when. I think Find A Grave is a great place to honour my ancestors and to help others follow the trails I have been on. I am located in Canada and its hard for me to do on-site research in other places. So, many thanks to all who post info and photos. Hopefully someone will find the info I post useful too. If you do, send me a message or place some flowers in my relatives' memorials. Cheers, Tracy Anne.

RE: Photo request for James M Butts in Chapel Grove Cemetery
I took 2 close ups of the front of the stone and posted them. there is nothing on the back of the stone at all. I didn't take new ones of James and Mary ,as the stone has weathered a lot since the original pictures were added and those were better. On the front at the top was a dove and at the bottom is a verse type inscription that is almost unreadable. There was no mention of a first wife. I hope this helps. I can send you the pictures in an email so you can try to enhance them if you wish. Take care and live well, David and Susan Sharp

RE: Photo request for James M Butts in Chapel Grove Cemetery
Some how I never get requests on my email any more so I don't get to see notes. I saw the request on the Chapel Grove page and new that my wige and I had taken all the pictures there and so left the edit for F A G. I live 4 miles away and I have 16 grand parents there, so we are there a lot. I will find and take several pictures of the Biutts' stone and get them on for you. Carrie Butts was my great grandfather's niece, FYI, She was a Sharp. Be getting back to you, best wishes, David and Susan

RE: Thomas Stone who married Esme Cunningham
Anne Tracy - you wrote:
Thomas is related to me and I know his life story well.
Abijah and Mary Stone were his grandparents on his father's side.
Thomas lived with his grandparents after his mother (Isabella Ruler) died. Thomas' parents were not married.
I have THomas' parents as Abijah Stone and Mary Landerkin. But if I understand you correctly those where actually his grandparents.

Who was his father? Do you have documents/sources you can share showing Thomas and his parents?
My email is

It is Mary (Landerkin) Stone I am also interested in and hopefully you can solve this problem.
If you are related to her mother Elizabeth (Fenton) Landerkin, then WE are related too!

I was contacted by someone who match my brother's DNA Y-test (my father's line).
I added her to my genealogy tree, but she had one brickwall. And I have been uble to find anything either, I hope you have the document of proof.

There is NO document proving Mary Landerkin as daughter of James George Landerkin and Elizabeth Fenton. I came to conclusion either the birth/bapt records have been destoyed or not transcribed yet.

I hope you have something to help her. Also you seem to have first hand knowlege of this line I would love to know more. I don't want to write it here but this person who contacted me also is also a contributor of FindAGrave

Thomas Stone who married Esme Cunningham
Thank your for sharing your work.

There is a marriage document that says Thomas Stone (who married Esme Cunningham) mother is Mary:

It is Mary Landerkin but the document does not provide her maiden name. But it appears you have the wrong mother listed for Thomas Stone regardless.

Thos Stone FARMER, 23 born c1875 Wellesley, Ontario,
Married Esme Cunningham 19.
Lists parents
"Eliah & Mary Stone" and
"Andrew & Elizabeth Cunningham".

Now... there is an error in Thos father's first name,
it is Abijah but the image incorrectly shows Eliah.

There is an image of the document too, if you have

Now... on your FindAGrave you have his mother as Isabell
