My passion each day is to get on Find A Grave and work. Taking pictures of headstones and seeing the lives that were is very humbling to me. I come away from the cemeteries in tears sometimes. I mourn those who have gone before.|
I was on a contributor site reading her bio. I want to share a portion of what she said:
"I am getting more and more confused by this site. If people create or post memorials with no OR incorrect burial location and I add a memorial for them in the correct location... I am asked to remove mine because theirs was on first; It seems like there are many rude people on find a grave."
There are many people that want to get huge numbers next to their names. That is not the conjecture of this site. I am here to help others find their past. And in doing that, I help myself in finding my past. If I do post or create a memorial and I don't know where they are, I am in pursuit of finding them. And I won't delete mine if that was the case.
REQUEST A MEMORIAL TO BE TRANSFERRED TO YOU THROUGH THE "EDIT" TAB ONLY. GIVE ME YOUR RELATIONSHIP AND YOUR CONTRIBUTOR NUMBER. WITHOUT THESE, IT WON'T HAPPEN.
I will transfer a memorial to you, if it comes within the "direct 4 generation rule" which Find A Grave has adopted. However, I look at each request and will decide.
Thank you for all that have contributed to the memorials which are in my charge. And thanks to the ones that take pictures for me.
But I will not transfer if they are apart of my own family or friends. Some of the lines I am researching are Masters, Chamblee, Keith, Kay, Hoffman, Veitch, Harding, Randolph, Isham, Totherow, Whitworth, Cartright, Murray, Magnusson, Bird, Stapley, Bliss, Pomeroy, Cunningham, Roth, Harding, Quinlan and Hannum.
Love my ancestors and the treasures they have given me.
Because of the passing of contributor's Kathy McConnell and ancestorsatrest, I have been given a good portion of their memorials to take care of.
Elaine Berger has transferred the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery memorials for me to take care of.

My mother had a sibling of unknown sex stillborn (I thought in 1926) and buried in Fountain Green cemetary. I see that there is a baby born in 1929 and I am wondering if I remember the date wrong. I can't find the birth or death certificate. The parents would be Irvin P. and Dorothy Brown Oldroyd.
Would you be able to check on this for me? Thank you for any help you can give me. Ajkunzler@gmail.com

I have only ever come across one person on Find A Grave who was not nice. She holds my g grandmother's memorial. She is not related, and she will not transfer the memorial. :(. I do not ask anymore.

No problem, I have made a lot of mistakes and had to go back after someone caught it. Thanks.

Thanks, I did not think it was a typo as her obit read the 15th as well. You might want to correct it as well. Myreel is a 3rd cousin to me, which I think would be a cousin to my grandmother. Are you related?

On Sina Anderson Thompson #89368622, there is not a picture of her headstone. The information says birth 27 Sept 1868 and death 22 Nov 1888. I have found in another source her birth as 29 Oct 1862 and death 25 Feb 1886. The 25 Feb 1886 matches up with the birth of her son, Senir P. Thompson #83401470. The Find A Grave information said she died of child bed fever. I am wondering where the information came from that is listed on Find A Grave - the 1868 and 1888. Can you help me with any information? Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you. Helen T. Swensen

No I am not a direct line, just a distant cousin. No problem, can make any changes through find a grave edit process if need be. Thank you for posting the memorial.
