Bio and Links
Bio Photo My husband and I got started doing genealogy a few years after we got married. We have done research in several states.
We currently live in Wyoming, but have many relatives in Arkansas and Oklahoma, and do a lot of research & grave recording in those states. (also other states when I get info.)
Hopefully I have not made any duplicate entries. If I have, it was not intentional, and I apologize.

RE: Willis
I have been going to the library a lot and have gotten a lot of copies, at 25 cents a sheet. Each sheet will have several obits on it. Waste not!!!! I get my money's worth. I send edits to ALL the obits on each sheet. These are obits for deaths around this area or from other places (relatives live here). So, I see a lot of memorials, a lot of names of people who have created memorials or maintain them. I read a lot of bios, trying to locate relatives of some of the people buried in Pollard or Marshall Hill. I saw your name somewhere and thought I'd see if you had any info on the Willis at Pollard. I will try to find obits for them and will let you know. Talk to you Later

Pollard Cemetery
Well, I didn't proof read it before I sent it. Pollard is west and south of Haworth. Pleasant Hill is east of Pollard.

RE: Willis
I'm not connected to the Willis Family, I don't think I know or have ever met any Willis. I live in Marshall Hill, a community that joins Pollard on the west side. I'm working on Pollard Cemetery (on the memorials & out in the cemetery). I just happened to notice that your name was Willis and thought I'd mention the burials of two at Pollard (thought you might like to know that). From Idabel, Pollard is about 9 or 10 miles south/east, it's south of Idabel and north of Harris. From Haworth, it's about 10 miles west and east. The old 21 highway from Haworth to Idabel intersects with Pollard Road (may be a sign there) about 2 or 3 miles north of the cemetery. I go to the Broken Bow Library some and locate obits for the burials in Pollard. The next time I go, I'll try to find the obit for Mollie and Mr. Willis (his might be hard to find since there is no date of death). If I locate it, I'll send it to you.

Pollard Cemetery in McCurtain County has Mollie Willis (1844-1922) and Mr. Willis (no dates) graves. You may know this, just thought I'd let you know.

Sarah Amanda "Manda" Goff Ashworth. If you did the research in Manda's bio, you did excellent work. The Ashworth's were related to the Williams family by marriage. John Wesley and his brother lived with the Williams family next to the Goff family farm. Many Williams family members are buried in the Goff Cemetery in Missouri. Your research has tied the Goff family to the Ashworth family and explains a lot of the burials in the Goff Family Cemetery. Thank you for the research.

RE: Mamie Smith -- Pauley Cemetery
Darn. Thanks so much for trying. I wondered if she would have a headstone. She only had one child and she was pretty young when her mother passed.
