I am a family researcher with both Southern and Northern roots. The majority of the memorials that I have posted are of people who are related to me.
Most the photos I have posted however are on memorials created by others, and they are of people who are not related to me. The "photos" are pictures, articles, or excerpts of articles from newspapers or books published 1923 and earlier, which puts them in the public domain. I put them up in hopes that actual relatives will find them and be able to use them. If you find a picture of one of your ancestors that I posted, you are free to copy it for your personal use and/or include it in your family tree on Ancestry.com. Please however ask for permission if you intend to use a photo in a published work (and thanks to the folks who have bothered to ask me).
Two of my favorite verses: "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him." (John 3:17) and "Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God." (John 1:12)
