I've lived in the New Haven area all my life. From the time I was very young, photography has been an important part of my life, and that, combined with my love of history, is what led me to this site. If I can be of any assistance to anyone in tracking down a grave, please don't hesitate to contact me.
If you happen to have a photo of a particular gravestone that is easier to read than one I've posted, please feel free to post yours as well - I won't mind!
If you are interested in cemeteries in CT, please visit my group on the photo-sharing website, Flickr.com: Connecticut Cemeteries!
Note: If asking for me to link one memorial to another, please let me know the memorial numbers involved...don't make me have to search for them. When asking for a transfer of one of my memorials, if the memorial in question is your direct relative within four generations (siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents), I will be happy to transfer it over to you. If not, I would rather maintain the memorial myself as I have done a great deal of work in research and photography on them.
I'm working through Grove Street Cemetery and adding plot information from their on-line database. I spend a great deal of time mowing the rows, and I'd take exception to someone stealing my photos. I don't know if you feel the same. I noticed that another contributor is posting your photos as her own (see the above memorial for an example), and wondering if you've given her permission to do so.
Hurdy Lundeen Rob Going thru my moms house and found some really old scrap books. Obits I'd never seen before, but no dates where/when they came from. i did a search of our library database online and found this obit appeared 19 Jan 1953 News Gazette (page 13). I'll pass along anything else I find. Wish I could find a photo of them together.
