RE: Abraham Samson memorial# 110255340
"Abraham Samson memorial# 110255340
I was wondering if you know if Abraham's grave marker was actually found at the Hillcrest cemetery? Since it wasn't established until 1706 and he died circa 1686 in Duxbury. It confuses me why he would be buried in Plympton when he made his home in Duxbury.
Thanks for any info you can give me on this.

Hi Shelly, Abraham Sampson/Samson is my wife's 7th great grandfather. I don't believe his marker has been located, and I'm with you regarding Duxbury; however, I took over Abraham's Find A Grave memorial from a qualified researcher (a cemetery sexton); so I'm hesitant to make any changes unless I have a good record to back it up, which I may have a lead that would support Duxbury:
Abstract of Graves of Revolutionary Patriots about Abraham Sampson
Name: Abraham Sampson
Cemetery: Miles Standish Cem
Location: Duxbury MA 62

Buried: Miles Standish Cem Location: Duxbury MA 62 Reference: Abstract of Graves of Revolutionary Patriots, Vol.4, p. Serial: 12556; Volume: 7

However, while Miles Standish Cemetery is referenced in the above record, my wife and I visited the cemetery and found no headstone for Abraham. While there we also visited a records library in Duxbury but weren;t able to come up with a record of his burial place. As yet, I haven't been able to review the above record. If you have access to this or any other record showing his internment please let me know.

RE: Joseph Welch Cremains
I tried to track down where I came up with the name George and I haven't been able to figure it out. There was one family tree on Ancestry that referred to him as George Joseph Welch, but I'm not in the habit of letting one piece of data sway me. Anyway... I have changed his name on the memorial to Joseph. That's how he is named in the Oregon Archives, the death certificate, newspaper articles, & most family trees.

Re: Norma Jean Ketchum Roberts bio
Just wanted to correct a small mistake in the bio you added to Norma Jean Ketchum Roberts memorial# 131376889. Danielle Stenger and Ria Endsley are Norma's nieces instead of cousins and Aeriel (Danielle's daughter) and Sophie and Collin (Ria's children) are Norma's grand-nieces and grand-nephew.

I posted a published obit and can not attest to the information in it.

What do you want me to do?
