I live in a small Nebraska town. I have family and friends buried in several Nebraska cemeteries and also some buried in the very northeastern part of Montana. I love visiting cemeteries and looking at the grave markers. I also LOVE to take pictures!!! Please let me know if I can help you get the pictures that you need!!|
Also, in the Fairmont/Geneva area, I go by the name of Mary instead of Marietta.

Still in search of Nancy Gibbs, curious if she remarried

Thank you, Mary and a BIG thanks for ALL you do for the local cemetaries!
I'm sorry. I should have read your bio first and used your proper name.

I just noticed your message. Please forgive me if I did not reply earlier.
There is an entry for Joseph kindly created by someone else. I see there are some additions to be made there which I shall take care of when I have the time.
One would be my father but he wanted to be cremated (after he died) so no grave marker for him, alas, other than a memorial plaque in Raleigh, N.C.

Thanks Mary!!! I think I sent you an edit to accept for her because she passed away in Sutton. Hope all is going well with you.

This past weekend, my Uncle Art told me that when they visited James Kennedy's grave, the star was no longer there. He contacted someone (not sure who) and they told him there are no more stars for the Civil War veterans. What do you know about this sort of thing?

I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am presently working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our "old soldiers" that had ties to Vermont. I have found a couple, Joseph Tatro and Xerxes Stevens that you have contributed photo's for their Find A Grave Memorial pages; there may be others I haven't discovered yet. I am asking you if I may use these photo's to post on the Vermont Civil War site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)
You would receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.
