Kay, sorry about that I hit the wrong key. I haven't found Anna Brooks either but I will look again when I go back.

|Marcy Hammers||Nancy Pelts|
Kay, My name is Marcy Hammers. I am a Find A Grave Member too. I went to Johns Chapel Cemetery in Ash Grove, Missouri today. I haven't found a monument for Nancy Pelts yet. I ran out of daylight as I was researching other cemeteries today too. I didn't get to search the whole cemetery. I am planning on going back when the weather is a little warmer & I have a day that I can drive that far. If I do find Nancy Pelts monument I will take a photograph for you. Sorry I didn't find her today.

|Christos Christou Jr.||RE: RE:Almony family.|
Mary Jane Almony is apparently dau of Sarah Ann Almony Houston who she is listed with in the 1850 census along with Siblings however each sibling has a different father named on their death certificates and their gaps in ages and no marriage record found does not help.
I have not been able to figure out who the father of Sarah's kids are or if her maiden name is Gardner or Almony. She married in 1846 to Mr. John Housten but have not found an estate for an Almony before that date that might give the father's name and the 4 kids that had death certificates were inconsistent on the father's name. More research is needed. She is buried in the same cemetery with all the other Abraham Almony children and family and here is some of the conflicting information I have.
Josiah’s 1922 death certificate says father is Abram Almony, born Harford Co and mother is Sarah Gardner born Harford (by the way Abraham Almony Sr. married Catherine Gardner). Josiah handled estate of Elijah Almony brother of Abraham who looks like Elijah had no children but did have brothers living so could he be father that divorced mother or just an uncle?
Serena’s 1925 death certificate says father is John Almony born MD and mother Sallie Almony born MD
Ann’s 1920 death certificate says father John Houston b. OH, mother Sarah Almony b. MD,
Amanda’s 1930 death certificate said parents were Abram Almony born MD and Sarah A. Almony born MD
Her son Josiah Almony administered on estate of Elijah Almony. Her son William named his dau. Tacy B. after the wife of John S. Almony, son of Abraham and the mother is buried near Abraham and his children, so I assume this means that the kids were related to Abraham Almony in the area but how is the question. Margaret Cameron thinks she may have not been married because she found that Sarah Almony was listed in the 1840 census as head of household but had two more children in 1842 and 1844. There is a big gap in her 6 children's ages too from 1832 to 1840. Did she marry two different Almony men? Two of the kids death certificates said the father was Abram but I can't find info on this Abram, who is Abram's father? Is this Abraham? Margaret said she found an undated very old family note that said the father of Sarah's children was Irish and listed her children as William, Joseph, Amanda Alloway, Serena Heaton, Mrs. Duncan. She believes she may not have been married but this would be unusual in that period to have so many children out of wedlock but it happens.

Kay, thanks so much for the transfer of Arvilla, Gladys, and Arthur. I will continue researching the Evans family to identify additional family members. I'm sure there are quite a few.

My pleasure. We took over 500 photos Sunday at Thurman Cemetery so if you have set up any other memorials you might want to check them later this week. Might have some new photos on them.
