I have always had a fascination with history especially in geneology. When I was young we would go to family reunions and while the other kids played, I stayed and listened to the older ones talking about their families and old times. Now with most of them gone, all that remains are memories. I don't have their pictures, but it keeps them remembered with photos of their headstones. That's why I love this site, everyone helping each other to do just that. So many are lost, damaged or unreadable it's imperative that we get as many recorded as possible.|

Hello there: Wonderful to hear from you. I have often wondered if Charles and Agnes had any children. To date, I had not found any. After Charles died, Agnes (Mary Agnes Bacon Hixson) remarried to the brother of Charles -- William Oscar Hixson, My GG Grandfather. They had 6 children together. The former wife of William Oscar Hixson had died of Dropsy earlier. William Oscar Hixson and Elizabeth Ann Lane had 6 children. When all was said and done, William and Mary raised the 12 combined total of children. Please call me at 309-787-7002 and I can fill you in. I have (arguably) one of the largest "Hixson" data bases in the U.S. (57,000 people in my data base). By the way, Charles Hixson and Mary Agnes Bacon married on 15 August 1875 at Prophetstown, Illinois (License # 3938 - Whiteside County). Mary was the daughter of John Bacon and Zora (Dora) LaFrancis (both buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Tampico, Illinois. John was a Veteran of the Civil War.

Thank you for transferring Heinriche's profile. I've been updating the links to her children, and will delete the duplicate as soon as I've heard from other profile managers.

I have done some of the updates you listed. I am assuming she never married and was born and died a Deshayes..However now I am a little confused..I went to the Wyuka Cemetery Burial listed and she does not show up under the name Deshayes but her marker is Deshayes. The only Deshayes they show at Wyuka are Albert and Zadie. I see her siblings etc across the street at Calvary. Have I made an error and she actually is at Calvary and not Wyuka? If you are family perhaps you know. You can email me at
email@example.com if you would care to.

Gina, thank you so much for transferring my great aunt and uncle's sites to me. You have done a great job on it. Thanks for working on it. They were awesome people and my greatest memories is when we went to my grandparents cabin and they had one right next door...also playing with their bulldog Danny...
