I am an amateur genealogist, living in Dublin, Ireland.|
I am particularly interested in the Pigott and Edgeworth families of Ireland and their descendants.
The graves of Irishmen who fought in WW1 & WW2 are also of interest.

they will not follow you,

You are very welcome. It was my pleasure to visit that amazing cemetery that was so well maintained. It was a surprise to see over 11,000 markers of Commonwealth graves. The CWGC has done a terrific job.
Thank you for your efforts to remember the Veterans.

You're welcome. If I can get better pictures on another visit when they've mown the grass, I may change some of the photos. As you'll see from the inscription and links I've had added, his parents are there too, along with what is presumably a cenotaph for his brother: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=o'dowd&GSiman=1&GScid=2185991&GRid=148021238&
Thanks for your offer to take photos in Dublin. As you'll guess from my surname, it's likely I do have Irish ancestors, though we've so far not been able to find when or whence they emigrated. But if you do come across any Doran graves, especially before 1800, it'll do no harm to put them on Find A Grave just in case, though at this stage it's not worth going to any great effort or even taking the time to tell me you've done it.

That's fine. Glad it is of use to you. Photos weren't the best views as I only had limited time down in Yorkshire (I live in Orkney) and was concentrating on getting the most images I could, rather than quality, and also didn't do any transcriptions on the spot.
I do have these photos at higher resolution if you would like them - email me at email@example.com if you want them.

I just wanted to leave a note to say thank you so much for all the wonderful work you have done over the past 6 plus years. You have just helped me find my sister in law's family. As I am in the states and it is now past midnight there I will have to wait to call her tomorrow. She will be so happy to have found them.

I will try to get this one for you on my next visit as i dont live far but the weather has not been kind to us .
Can you have this memorial marked as a cenotaph. He is actually buried in Ballaghaderreen as you suggest, though not in the cemetery which mem. 107198919 has been allocated. I have added another memorial and asked admin to merge as he is buried in Ballaghaderreen Old Graveyard aka St Mary's Graveyard.146011667
Hello, due to a Find A Grave web problem on 6/21/2014, your picture was posted on the wrong memorial (& mine was deleted).
Would you please remove the picture from the above memorial.
