This is an account that is being used to load all of the memorial data from Ivy Hill Cemetery in Alexandria Virginia. We are working through section by section and uploading photographs and using data provided by Ivy Hill Cemetery to provide family information and have a number of volunteers gathering additional information from obituaries in local papers.|
There will be some duplicate records in the short term but those will be removed as we go back through each of our entries and will add photos to the existing records if they don't have them and email any additional information that we might have for inclusion in the original memorial.
We are happy to transfer control of memorials to relatives or will add pictures, stories or additional family information as desired.

Thank you for transferring management to me!

Thank you so much for transferring the management to me of my great Aunt and her husband. They have no living children to up-date their memorial and link them to the family. It is the least I can do for them. They had great love for each other.

I'm SO SORRY. I just submitted a "correction" for her memorial thinking it was her MOTHER's memorial! Please accept my sincere apologies!!
|Tyler Hughes||Guy Fairfax Cary|
Could you please answer a question of mine, in the cemetery you have Guy Cary buried in, did you happen to also see his wife Cynthia buried there? I originally thought she was buried at her residence in Newport, RI, though you have her husband listed there, so I am curious.
Hi, thank you so much for taking pictures of my great uncles and their wives. I would like to manage their memorials if you don't mind.

First, I would like to thank the society for the work they are doing to record this cemetery! Your work is so deeply appreciated. Next, I was wondering if you would transfer my husband's family members that you have listed over to my account, as I have much information to add, and would be honored to manage these for him. They are:
Raymond Hoover (#25282086)
Naomi Hoover (#25282087)
Charles Hoover: (#25327366)
These Hoovers' mother and step-father:
Ella Leitch (#24804448)
J.T. Leitch (#24804447)
Thank you SO much!
~Cheri Hoover (#47633840)
Roderic Dean Minnich (Memorial #25327556) was my first cousin. I'd be happy to assume care for his memorial.
Thank you for all the work you're doing!
