For the people that feel the need to ask me to place the woman's initial in middle name instead of maiden name, may I suggest you check out the women on Find A Grave that have an initial printed on their tombstone, and you will find that over 90% of the time that initial stands for her maiden name. It seems to me such a little thing to get worked up over!

Initials
YOU ARE SO RIGHT!!!! I thought I was the only one who was working on that premise. I do work for historical society and so run into alot of graves what have EXACTLY that-the initial is for the MAIDEN name. Seems we have too many busybodies who have nothing better to do than harass those of us who really take a genuine interest on what we post..should I list names of the bb's?
Keep up the good work!
Hugs
Gennie

RE: Bertha Bell Brecht, Fairview Cemetery
I think I did what you asked for this memorial. If not go ahead and add where I missed. You do a lot for this site and it is appreciated.

You had a lot of information on Gerald so I transferred that memorial to you. Have a good day.

Thanks for the headstone photo and the Census info.

I re-wrote it in narrative form along with some more info I dug up. Hope you like the result. ^_^

Cheers, Rich

I do believe we have the same person. I put her in the proper cemetery. Thank you so much.
(Her father and mother were my gggg grandparents.)
I also "stole" your plot information. Hope you don't mind. Helen

Isaac Lopus' wife
CA, Thanks for the many contributions you've made! I just added a memorial for Isaac Lopus' wife, Roxanna (Gibson) Lopus at the Old Presbterian in Pittsfield, and I was hoping you'd post the same gravestone picture on her listing. Also, by any chance can you tell me what the inscription says? I can only read her name. Thanks so much! -Robin
