I find copying headstones interesting, I like finding interesting people with interesting story's. Most my family buried in the greater Philadelphia area but I live in the Harrisburg area so I'll copy headstones here. Worked inside most my life and wanted to be outside after I retired so copied headstones and published them in the Quarterly once issued by the Capital Area Genealogical Society.|
Please use 'edit' tab on memorial page for corrections and or additional information.
I now strictly adhere to the Find A Grave guidelines regarding transfers. No exceptions. Requests made that fall outside of the guidelines, or do not state relationship, are no longer being acknowledged. Virtual cemeteries are the way to "gather" your ancestors together.
Please don't justify an out-of-guideline transfer request for the sake of adding links and/or other information. Am perfectly capable of doing this, especially now with the new EDIT system - much quicker than transferring. If you decide to not forward information or links because a transfer isn't done, then that's your decision.

George Frey #86720437 is my great grandfather's brother. You have a photo of a family stone posted. What other Frey's are in the area?
Good afternoon Robert,
Wanted to thank you for the updates of the Bragunier's.
Have a nice day

I'm interested in finding the grave of a family member. The headstone in Enola that you copied for James and Jane Raine is record 53166174. I would like to locate and visit the grave. If possible, please contact me at email@example.com

As promised, I kept the e-mail you sent me archived. Dona Horine took photos of Harriet Hannaman's stone, which was the same plot as her husband, George. The dates match Harriet Mae Butterfield Hannaman and George Leon Hannaman, parents of James. I have made the edits and connected the memorials.
Cheers and thanks!!!!

Her sons death certificate says she was born in Virginia.

Dear Robert, Thank you very much for the newspaper article you provided concerning the tragic death of Samuel Bixler in 1910. His brother Eugene Emerson Bixler ( 1882-1959) was my grandfather. His father Issac Bixler was my Great Grandfather. Again, I really appreciate what you do. Find A Grave Memorial# 65610002
Thanks, Keith Garvin
|Linda Hubbard||Re: Harriet Sparrow|
I just requested my 3rd great-grandfather from you. Harriet is his second wife. What makes this unique is that she is the sister of his first wife Susan (my 3rd great-grandmother). I would appreciate it if you would transfer her to me. Harriet is Find A Grave #53166414. Thank you.
|Linda Hubbard||Re: William Sparrow|
If possible, would you mind transferring William Sparrow Find A Grave#53166413 to me? He is my 3rd great-grandfather. I found his first wife who died in childbirth while they were still living in Maryland and I linked her to him.
Is Harrisburg near Millersburg, PA? I have a family member buried in a cemetery in Millersburg. His name is Michael Miller Piltz . I think he is in a Catholic cemetery but not sure. I also have a Revolutionary War relative who died in Montgomery County at the Battle of Brandywine. Is that close? His name was Thomas Blitch I. He was from Georgia. He died Sept. 11, 1777. Neither of the Find A Grave memorials has a photo. Can you help? I appreciate any help you can give.

Hi. I got your suggestion about Hannaman's parents (specifically Harriet M Hannaman). It seems to fit. There is also a George Hannaman buried in Belcrest, so I bet you were on the right track. I cannot find a death record online for Harriet so I have put in a photo request for the two stones to see if (a) they are next to each other (b) dates or information on the stone can confirm their identities and/or relationship and (c) any information available to further check the relationship!
Thanks for the edit. I will keep it in my archive until photos are taken. There are several volunteers in the area but at least one of them is out of state at the moment - or she was the last time we chatted. It doesn't usually take too long for Belcrest requests to be uploaded. I love those ladies!
