I'll see if they know anything. I've been trying to contact a few cemeteries but very few are attended. Thanks for the number. Much appreciated.

Hi, I was wondering if you might have the phone number for the cemetery. I'm trying to get the full death date for the Jolliff's. I hope you can help.

RE: Daniel R. Hostetler
You did great! We just need to wait and allow the memorial owners for the children (Benjamin, Ida, and Elmer) to consider if a change needs made.

Lately I've been reading a bunch of stuff between 1880 and 1900, from Orange County and Sullivan County, Indiana because that's where my ancestors are from. It's quite amazing stuff.

About Charles Wright, no I'm not related, but you can't help but read articles or snip-its NEXT TO the one that you're intentionally looking at. And, as I find random information like Charles', and IF I can find said person on Find A Grave, I try to pass it along.

In that same list was the death of two little brothers, ages 7 and 5, that were killed the same day in 1887, by a rolling log. I sent that one to the creator of their memorials. Kids like that are especially touching because, in that window of time (1880 - 1900), they never show up on the census.

Just trying to turn some unknowns, into knowns.

Since the newspaper had gone to so much trouble to assemble the list of 120, it would have been helpful had they added the year that the death actually occurred. Again, the list, from the 1893 newspaper, was just recounting deaths and murders over the prior twenty or so years.

RE: Joshua B. Cartwright
I'll have to do some digging. Seems as though distantly. Will get back with you.

RE: Moores Ridge Cemetery
You know, I put the info found from your families on my tree and Maria's name also comes up as Malinda: Name: William Smith, Spouse Name: Malinda Cartwright,Marriage Date: 24 Jan 1847, Marriage County: Orange. Have you checked under Malinda? Also, have you seen the photo of William and Jane (Freeman) Smith with Wm. P. Smith and Sarene? Chiquita #47559633

RE: Moore's Ridge
Did you find the headstones YOU were needing? I took several photos last time I got to go home of family I could readily find, and also got to visit with the Crecelius', but forgot to ask about the ones I didn't find. Also a mower fellow was there and I tried to stay out of his way - then I got lost going back to town! We have Bledsoes, Kendalls and Galloways there, but I know so many of the other families. Even ran upon the doctor that delivered me many moons ago. Chiquita
