Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Columbiana County in Northeastern Ohio. Since I started my family history research, I have been amazed at the unknown family members I have found so close to my home. I want to honor them by adding them to this site. Thank you to all who place flowers on their memorials. I am a member of the Columbiana County and Mahoning County Chapters of the Ohio Genealogical Society.

Researching: Felger, Naughton, Stanyard, Miller, Bailey, Lind, Lynn, Sherry, Cranston, Forney, Stallsmith, Hauptmann, Huch, Hull, Stump, VanFossan/VanFossen, Thoman, Summer(s), Baker, Hartje, & Rukenbrod (to name a few).

NOTE: I am working closely with my cousin, Joseph Chaplow, and some of my entries are his family. Preference on transfers will go to him.

"Genealogy, begins as an interest, becomes a hobby, continues as an avocation and in the last stages, is an incurable disease."

I found this on the profile of another contributor: A fellow by the name of Banksey is credited with a quote. What he said goes something like this: You die twice. Once when you stop breathing... and a second time... later on... when your name is said for the last time.

PLEASE DO NOT USE MY PERSONAL PHOTOS. Any other use or republishing of them is not permitted. It is a violation of FindaGrave guidelines. If you have an interest in someone, please email me. However, you may copy any headstone picture I've added for your own family tree use. The exception would be using my photos when creating a duplicated FindaGrave memorial. This is not allowed and is against the guidelines. A notation that I was the photographer would be appreciated, if only to assist others who may want to contact me about family. I've received a lot of help in obtaining family headstone pictures from other researchers and want to pay it forward. Thank you.

Please check the cemetery before you make an entry to avoid duplications. I welcome any corrections to information I have entered. Please use the suggest a correction tab on the individual memorial. It's easier for me that way.

I have absolutely no interest in numbers, so I usually transfer out-of-guidelines unless it's someone in my family or the requester does not transfer their own entries in that manner. Just a reminder: Regarding transfers, please remember...just because you are related to someone doesn't mean someone else isn't. Please see F-A-G guidelines regarding transfers. *"The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."

I ask you to remember that the members of this site are volunteers, both for entries and photo requests. They spend time and money to do this out of a love of the past, to memorialize those who have gone before, and in remembrance of beloved family members. It requires cooperation and teamwork. If you don't like to do these things, I respectfully ask that you choose another hobby.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4

"Do not stand on my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the mornings hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave & cry;
I am not there, I did not die."

~*~ONE FINAL GIFT~*~
Scatter me not to the restless winds
Nor toss my ashes to the sea.
Remember now those years gone by
When loving gifts I gave to thee.
Remember now the happy times
The family ties are shared.
Don't leave my resting place unmarked
As though you never cared.
Deny me not one final gift
For all who came to see.
A simple lasting proof that says
I loved and you loved me.

Linn/Lynn
Hello Debra,

I guess we are cousins. I saw your edit of Maria Hoch. I struggled with the spelling of her name as you know in translation there were most likely many different spellings. Her daughter Christiana Linn # 64473076 was my 4th great grand mother who married Peter Scheibley. There were various spellings of his name also Schaublin,Schibley,Shively etc etc. The important thing is that you found her.I see you are descended from Susannah Linn. I would love to hear from you. My email is listed on this site.

Thanks for the flowers. If you have any other information about Nicholas or Maria I would love to hear from you.

RE: Ina E. Hagan
I left them on the bulletin board or I must have dumped them by mistake.

Could you resend them so I can make sure they are up properly.

Thank you for the information.

RE: Johnie Blauser
Ok, thanks. I'm not sure how I linked them, sometimes an assumption, but more likely someone sent me an edit. I'm not related, so probably the latter. I fixed it. Thanks for the clarification.

Bailey and Corll families
Debra:

Yes, my wife Susan is a Bailey, and her grandparents are from Mahoning Co Ohio and Pennsylvania. She also connects with the Corell family. Contact me at my e-mail adress brucesonner1@ gmail.com. This mail is too public, and keeps timing out my response to you. This is the 4th response to your inquiry that I have written that has wiped out! I would be interested in comparing family notes!

You are welcome. I took the photo of Pearl's gravestone today. When I posted it tonight I realized that she died 100 years ago today!
