I've been working on my family tree for nearly 30 years. I am descended from the Daniel Boatwright family of Virginia, through John Daniel Boatwright, a son of John Joseph Boatwright, who moved to Kentucky in the mid 1820s and then purchased land in Illinois in 1839. A few of the surnames I am researching are: Boatright/Boatwright, Fields (of AL), Terry (MS and AL), McCartney, Allen, Brown, and Hayden.|
I enjoy photographing cemeteries and will many times create a memorial for photos I have which are not relatives of mine. If any of the Memorials I have added are direct ancestors of yours but are not direct ancestors of mine, please let me know and I will happily transfer the Memorial to you.

You're welcome. No problem!

I did not link Josephine to Thomas so I can't remove the link. Linda Y linked Thomas to Josephine so you need to contact her on Thomas' memorial and ask her to remove the link.

I appreciate your help. I know her death certificate said that is where she was taken and I can't imagine my grandfather not putting her with her family or near her husband. But it's like her sister Mary Ella Bland. She apparently doesn't have a stone either.

Smart move on using the foil! I removed my copy of the stone.
Thanks much and Happy Hunting,

I appreciate your efforts to find my great grandmother. I know her death certificate says that's where she was taken. I'm sure she's there since her parents, siblings and husband are there - the question is where. How sad. I'm sure my grandmother wouldn't allow my grandfather - her only child - to spend a cent on a headstone for his own mother. That's just the way my grandmother was - hooray for her, boo anyone else lol. So so sad, she's in an unmarked grave. I'm comforted though in knowing she's most likely near her immediate family since her stepchildren buried her husband with his first wife. Again, thank you so much for looking for her and Alice. Maybe women just weren't important back then :-(

Thanks so much for the great photo of the Zerbe's. I really appreciate you taking this photo for me. I live too far away to get to Illinois and take it myself! Geo
